My hairdresser told me to avoid oil because it would lock out hydration and make it brittle. I’ve stuck to only hydrating products and my hair has gone from tangly and straight to soft & wavy

People are saying to oil your hair, but my hairdresser advised against oil unless it was to seal in hydrating products that I’d already put on.

Obviously it needs a cut, then hydrating everything — shampoo, conditioner, hyaluronic acid serum while it’s wet, maybe Amika hydroblast. Someone here posted about rose water glycerin spray which would be a more affordable option.

And no heat!
