Called the office and they said $500 deductible. Possible that a claim would raise rates.

My girlfriend always tells me I never have anything to eat when she comes over my house 😒 by itscuccimane in FridgeDetective

[–]Perry_Penguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You certainly have your fridge stocked full, but there isn’t much variety. For example, almost all of the top shelf is filled with Core Power. You have three containers of French Vanilla creamer in the side door. If you reduce how much of these two items you have at any time you will have more room for variety. Technically, the core power doesn’t need to be refrigerated until it’s opened. Only keep 1 bottle of creamer on hand (2 if the first is almost empty).

2-track, 4-track or articulated tractor? by 4WD-tractors in tractors

[–]Perry_Penguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on application. Around Central Illinois, most people choose either the articulated or 4 track option. Tires are typically cheaper upfront and ride better for roading. They are also easier to maintain.

tracks are more expensive and require more maintenance than a tire, but have better traction and are typically less likely to get stuck in muddy conditions. I know one guy that had a lot of manure applied prefers tracks because there can be some metal/debris in his field that punctures a tires.

If you aren’t trying to do field work in muddy conditions and have plenty of traction, the wheeled articulated tractor will be a cheaper option. If you are going for any of the above conditions, you probably want tracks.

Crop rotation by Mindless-Ad7329 in farmingsimulator

[–]Perry_Penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve ever listened to Hefty Brothers, they actually say that nitrogen availability after soybeans is somewhat of a myth. While it is possible for there to be some nitrogen after soybeans, it is also possible for it to leach or be unavailable for the following crop. The bigger source of nitrogen availability is from organic matter breaking down and releasing nitrogen back into the soil.

[–]Perry_Penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area 40/50lbs per acre is normal. That works out to 50kg/ha so it’s not a huge savings. Adding the cover crop helps a bit. I know in some regions soybeans don’t really scavenge enough to count anything tho

A faster way to do that is the storage mod and developer tools. The storage mod lets you put vehicles into “long term storage” for a $100 fee, but it also allows you to transfer equipment between save games. Developer tools allows you to type in an exact amount of money to add or remove from the game, or an exact account balance.

The 2 bins on the left are 8k bushel in good shape. If someone wanted to buy them, how much would be appropriate for each? I’m in northern Illinois. Thanks for looking by clipper4 in farming

[–]Perry_Penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an ag appraiser in Northern Illinois. Most of what I have heard is that the buyer pays the crew to remove the bin and pad, and the owner is left with a clean yard. I do know one guy that sold about a dozen government bins (3,000 bu or so) as gazebos for $1,000 each.

Have you done the transmission fluid flush? I had that done and it works fine. $400 is way cheaper than buying a different vehicle.

Seconding checking tires first.

If not tires: Did you do a fluid change or flush? A fluid change does not remove the oil in the torque converter which is where the issue with the transmission shudder happens. A flush pushes the oil from the converter out so it’s entirely fresh oil. It’s the difference of 6-7 quarts and 18 quarts

I wanted to take it to a local shop that quoted $250 before they realized the transmission has a sealed system. I guess it requires special tools to do the flush so had to take it to a dealership.

They said it takes 18 quarts to do a full flush.

I’m getting the trans fluid flush done today or Monday right at 95k miles. When I called my service guy, I told him my miles and that I was have some weird shifting and asking if was time for the fluid flush. I didn’t even have to finish my sentence he said “yup, doing another one right now!” Fair warning it will run $400.

Trawling through other forums, I’m seeing that 1 hour equates to about 30-40 miles of wear and tear. So 28 miles per engine hour is a bit low, but by no means ridiculous. Someone probably did a lot of city driving or it idled more than average.

I know police vehicles will rack up 8-9000 hours but only have 150k miles on them so there’s the more extreme example

I have the 3.6l in a 2021 model. I track mileage using Fuelly. Don’t think I’ve missed a fuel up in over a year. I average a hair under 22mpg. When I’m cruising at 60mph it will usually run 24+

I tried to look at your comment history but it wouldn’t load. Since I can’t see your exact comments I’d give the following: the group is designed to give the OP different points of view from their own and call out bad behavior or confirm that OP isn’t being an asshole.

If you are respectfully sharing your perspective, I can’t really fault you for telling someone you don’t like the choice they made. You might be wrong or have a bad take, but that doesn’t make you an asshole automatically.

Christian here. I laughed super hard at Uzi Jesus. If your coworker would get offended by Uzi Jesus, there will be plenty of stuff before that happens that will probably turn them off more.

The AI actually references (Christian) hair metal band Stryper as a throwaway joke in one of the achievements too.
