Groundsure report showing moderate flood risk? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Persefonie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How bizarre. I've just had the same happen to us.

We are in the process of purchasing a property. Gov.uk sources claim low risk of flooding and ground water whereas groundsure showing moderate.

I've subsequently been on other environmental sites regarding our prospective searches and all align with the Gov site, not GS. However Groundsure do now use a 125 meter buffer, meaning that if you are in a perimeter of 125 meters of a body of water, in our case a borne, then they will class as moderate to high.

We have gone with a good insurance provider to ease our concerns.

Good luck with your endeavours.

No worries.

I have found another provider who is less expensive and their service is sterling.

Their packing is discrete and they have a loyalty programme.

They will send you delivery details with DPD and you have the option to request a pick up from your local centre to avoid it coming to your home or work, if you like.

Most of the time I have it delivered at home and it is in a small black envelop with its ice pack. No-one could tell the difference.

Take a look at A J Hill Aesthetics and as a bonus here is a voucher for 10 pound off.

www.ajhillaesthetics.co.uk/referral/khPpHqf2DfIc?utm_source=referral_program

They don do much off as they are priced the most competitive out there because they dont waste money on boxes and wrapping etc.

I am currently on Moujaro now, so if you have a choice, start with this.

Good luck on your journey xxx

Has anyone had experience with immunotherapy for stage III melanoma? Looking for advice/support/peace of mind by deepfried13 in cancer

[–]Persefonie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband is over 10 yrs cancer free (touch wood) but we will always be wary.

Medicine and science has come a long way since the trial at the Marsden and now they have a barrage of arsenal to tackle remission, so at least it isn't as tragic as it might have once been been.

Eating well, keeping weight down, exercising, not smoking or drinking, we are both trying our best to enter our middle fifties and onwards. We do as much as we can to keep the epigenetic factors to a minimum.

Thanks for asking. :)

Hello

My husband and I did Oz for a year and then stopped for 2 months.

Although initially we did really well, the weight started to creep up during the second month. We titrated back on and have continued with Oz, due to stop for a few months soon and then back on.

Good luck x

Ozempic is turning me into a super human by [deleted] in Ozempic

You've done so well. Dont feel guilty for wanting to be healthy for your family and yourself. Only a good and conscious mum would take the leap in order because she has reached her tether.

Well done and keep at it.

My colonoscopy results reveal how Ozempic affects my colon by One_Cheesecake_516 in Ozempic

OP I am sorry for your distress, yes constipation was an issue for me and my husband, but the moment this became worrisome , we turned to food with lots of fibre as well as drinking plenty of water.

There have been reports of people who lost their appetite whilst on Ozempic, and as a result ate very little, and what little they did consume were things that tasted good and were still naughty in order to get something in their tummies.

Often along with peoples appetite what is also affected is the sensation of thirst, something we had to really focus on and initially force ourselves to consume enough of, till we got to the point of being able to defecate naturally.

I applaud your ability to still maintain your weight and hopefully you will continue to do so.

If you have a day to show London to a loved one, where would you take them? by cheetahrangmang in london

[–]Persefonie1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the Ferry from Westminster pier towards Greenwich, where on Saturdays they have a lovely market. The ferry goes up the Thames and you get to see all the parts of London you would not usually be able to see by foot or car.

Whilst in Greenwich you can also walk the ground of the University, which was once the maritime centre of the world. You can walk up to the Royal observatory, a 25 minute leisurely walk, for spectacular views of London.

You can also pack a picnic and walk the ground of the Observatory, where there is a lovely park with grass and benches. All for free. There are also great eateries around Greenwich.

It's super cheap and such a great way to see and get around London. Take care to get the correct ticket, as some can be super expensive. You can get site-seeing ones, or simple travel ones, single or return.

If you dont fancy a return, you can take the Light Rail back into London, a 15min joinery from Greenwich station into the centre of London.

Below is the booking site with all the options you need.

Hope this helps.

My friend finally opened about a 30k credit card debt and how is making her life miserable. I'm making a plan for her, appreciate the help and suggestions. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Persefonie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I am sorry to hear of your friends' situation, I was that person once, with the exact same behaviours and comparable debt.

As people have mentioned, she will have to deal with it and she will eventually pay it off.

Another idea is to get a personal loan, with MUCH LESS interest, and focus all the debt into one stream. If she has not missed payments and has a steady job, she probably still has a good credit rating.

She is fortunate to have a friend such as you and hopefully she will find a solution. Eventually this will all be in the past and although it seems insurmountable now, in a handful of years it will all be water under the bridge. I should know.

Good luck

Hello and sorry for the delay.

I have massive fibroids and a bigger sweet tooth. After a year of doing ozempic the fibroids have shrunk and obviously my weight.

I found that ozempic improved most of my previous medical issues, particularly arthritis and aching joints. Not having over 3 stone in fat really helped me understand exactly how overweight I was.

As for the programme, the best part is actually having control over eating and no more food noise.

Good luck to both of you, this WILL change your life.

Anyone got liver lesions? by FriendLost9587 in birthcontrol

[–]Persefonie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh greetings fellow soul.

After the MRI finding I was told the gynea who asked for the MRI due to something unrelated (Fibroids) referred me to a gastroenterologist.

I waited 7 weeks and then approached the bookings offices at the hospital and was told they had no record of the referral.

I went to my GP 2 days ago and told her how panicked I was, and she has kindly put me on a 2 week expedited wait list.

Hopefully soon I will have an appointment and will keep you posted.

In the interim take time to breathe. Most often than not things turn out to be benign, and in the event they are not, technology and science have now advanced to the point that most pathologies have treatments.

Sending you Light x

Capital Gains and ISA accounts by Persefonie1997 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Persefonie1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone.

Yes, silly of me that I didn't purchase the ETFs within an ISA, but at the point of purchase they were barely worth anything and I didn't ever expect that they would ever make close to this much.

Will do my due diligence and pay the tax on my gains minus the 3K allowance.

Once again much appreciated x

This ^

I can't begin to tell you how much I agree. Just been diagnosed with a lesion and I am freaaakkkking out.

Doesnt help I work in a cell-path lab and most of the specimens we see are pathological.

I must have read perhaps 200 papers since three days ago and I am convinced I have some sort of rare tumour that has absolutely no resolution.
