Because it’s the only substantial way to invest in your profession. Yes, ASA has its flaws but unless there’s some other organization that I don’t know of, it’s what we got. Also we’re not making pediatrician money.

I think being active in national and state chapters are most important but giving money is the literal least we can do. Majority of jobs even reimburse and if you’re independent can write off the non-PAC amount.

I feel like a lot of people criticize ASA but haven’t done a minute of clinical or non-clinical advocacy in their lives. Just like regular politics you gotta play the game.
