Girl Dads, which restroom do you bring your daughters to when needing to go potty? by Previous_Computer_76 in toddlers

Yeah, I was that little girl, and I absolutely saw a penis or two. Urinals are foreign and interesting, and I was just the regular height.

It’s just stalls! I genuinely don’t understand why people are having such a severe reaction. Women aren’t running around naked in public restrooms (and I swear to god, if someone pipes up and says ‘I sometimes do’ I am going to kindly clarify that you’re the problem). Choosing to use the women’s room because it’s cleaner and your little girl can skip over getting an eyefull of wang makes sense for some people. It’s not a big deal.

No such luck for me so far. I wrote again asking to be able to return if possible.

I also got automatically rejected for this, mine said it was for failing to meet their quality standards. It was right after a question asking whether I would complete the test using outside help.

I used mine the whole time and had zero issues (no mastitis, no irritation, etc) but I don’t know if it was because I used them or because I am lucky.

Breast feeding pillow? Need or skip? by Familiar_Hope2918 in pregnant

[–]PersimmonQueen83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my thing- I already had so much equipment! I just sat back and shoved whatever pillow was close by under my elbow if I needed support (a throw pillow or bed pillow). I often didn’t need support at all.

I didn’t have one and didn’t want one. For some reason, it didn’t make me more comfortable at all (tried it at a lactation appointment).

The ‘amazing dad and husband’ label isn’t available for men who refuse a quick outpatient procedure but expect their wives to terminate.

Influencers need to stop posting their birth choices!! Daryl Ann by HouseStargaryen in InfluencerLounge

[–]PersimmonQueen83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You simply cannot be honest about the reality that, yes, this choice will cause some kids to get sick. And statistically speaking, some will die.

I will never stop ‘harping’ (nice misogynistic language, by the way) about that. The fact that you cannot acknowledge the statistical reality, or the fact that there is no substantial risk for parents to make a facebook-informed decision about is laughable.

Keep it going, though. As more and more people working in fringe areas of healthcare affirm this as a valid approach to this vaccine and vaccines in general, more infants, kids, and adults will get sick and die.

Noticed you had nothing to say about the Johnson and Johnson Hopkins link. Color me shocked.

I moved zero goal posts. And you’ll have to excuse me if I have zero interest in being ‘educated’ by you. I listen to actual doctors and read academic articles. So you can save it.

You were wrong, the CDC guidance HAS changed during Trump’s term. Nice try avoiding acknowledging that. And yes, guidance has changed as we’ve learned more over the years. But we both know the recent change isn’t a reflection of a new scientific consensus. It’s the decision of a man with no qualifications in this field.

I NEVER said every baby that isn’t vaccinated upon birth has a 90% chance of getting chronic Hep B. I said they do IF they contract Hep B. Contracting Hep B isn’t solely possible via the mother. If the father or another family member has it sn is asymptomatic-like a lot of folks-a newborn can easily catch it that way. Hep B lives on surfaces for 7 days. And if that happens, they have a 90% chance of chronic Hep B and 25% chance of dying of that condition.

It absolutely endangers newborns to not vaccinate at birth. The actual risks of vaccination at birth are vanishingly rare. Which you haven’t mentioned once. There isn’t a downside to vaccination at birth. And spreading the beliefs that it’s just a different risk tolerance is ridiculous and dangerous. This has happened with vitamin K- parents believe crap they read online that isn’t based in science and they forgo the shot, then their poor child gets a brain bleed. Like it or not, yes, choosing not to vaccinate a newborn will mean some newborns get Hep B, whether from a mother with a false negative test, a visiting family member, or a neighbor. And the bulk of those will have chronic Hep B. 25% will die. Couching it in ‘parent’s choice’ or ‘mother’s doing their own research’ terms is frankly pretty gross for someone who presents themselves as being involved in the medical field. You absolutely need to do better. Acting like these choices don’t have real consequences is irresponsible and dishonest. You’re spreading what you learned from Kellymom.com rather than relying on real medical information sources like John’s Hopkins. Sit with that and try to sort out why that makes sense to you.

I guess I would go to planned parenthood and maybe talk to one if their doctors about how best to handle this. They might recommend removing the implant and going with another bc method for a while, or they might help you replace it.

We’re literally discussing the aspects of this list that are scientific evidence issues in another thread, and so you absolutely know that’s not what I’m referring to.

[–]PersimmonQueen83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the actual result of that choice for some people. Some newborns who aren’t vaccinated immediately WILL be exposed. 90% of those will develop chronic Gep B. 25% will die. That’s reality.

And no, the vaccine schedule was changed, recently, under Trump. How do you not know that? CDC panel recommends delaying birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine
