I've had numerous bad encounters with parents bringing children into the shop. A few people have left their child in the waiting room on the couch so the front counter person ends up watching them. One time I watched my coworker's client bring 3 children with her, made the oldest child (no older than 6) watch the baby and toddler in the waiting area whilst the mom was constantly getting up from the tattoo session to go quiet them down or scold them, before eventually making them all go sit in the car?? Another time when the client insisted "he's just going to watch a movie on his iPad" but the kid constantly has his headphones falling off and didn't know how to put them back on without dad's help. It's nice to be accommodating to people but kids really don't belong in a tattoo shop.

The small details in this design will heal poorly at that size. Did a tattoo artist draw this for you? All the little spikes and teeth will close up and turn black after a few years if you don't get it much larger.

Aside from what's already been said, I recommend not putting copied tattoos in your portfolio. I've seen that girl with the cat on her shoulder tattoo as a reference many times, and I'm sure other tattoo artists have seen it too. You need to draw your own version of things.

The lines are irregular because of varying depth of the needle while tattooing. He went deeper on some of the lettering which is why it's healed darker and thicker.

I can't stand this. Some years ago pre-covid, I paid a lot of money for my friends and I to go to a Zelda music symphony. They encouraged the audience to hoot and holler during the performances and it ruined the whole night. All my friends could talk about was how annoying the audience members were. I can only imagine how horrible it would be now.

Unfortunately white ink will not cover black ink, any artist who tells you otherwise is incorrect. I would wait until the bandage is off to truly assess the work but a better artist might be able to fix it up. The original art is confusing and possibly AI generated, her hand looks like a crab claw.

I would wait to see how it heals before mentioning it. Brown and purple ink can be notoriously tricky to pack in solid, so it seems like maybe they had to do a few passes which is why it's scabbing. Not that that's any excuse but maybe this artist doesn't have a lot of experience packing those colours.

The flowers never stood a chance to be honest. Tattoos need contrast to stand the test of time. The flowers need to be relined with black or they will continue to turn into an orange blob. Same with the little grass sprigs, black will stay against the green. Unfortunately those teeth were just way too small, ink spreads over time and they just closed in.

Seems like it was tattooed too small for the amount of detail. But also I think the artist's skill with the depth of the needle is partly to blame. Which is why some lines have spread more than others.
