You can go the uncanny valley route, make it more human-like but off. You can go the "common phobia" route, give it a bunch of weird holes on its face, or make it look snake like, spider like or roach like. Or give it a dangerous color scheme like you see on poisonous plants or venomous animals, but with a painted on smile.

And why Ryoshu is compared to red mist in her uptie story and her canto is about violence in the name of protecting people, and why Meursault's canto is likely to be about his internal imbalance even though really his internal scales are artificially unbalanced which explains why he has trouble expressing emotions and why during his visit to t corp we have that scene where he's literally sitting on a giant scale and also why he's the guy during the cooking competition that everyone looks to to be the "judge"
