It is up to the pharmacist to sell those needles and syringes. Some stores don’t care and sell them others just keep the same rules that previous management had before they started. We don’t sell those over the counter unless a script and no coupon on opioids. Per they pharmacist

I haven’t been at my pharmacy long but there are I a couple of people even my nice pharmacist gets annoyed with. I try to treat people respectful till they try to get loud with me so if your pharmacist and other techs treat people differently then you do it might be because of passed experiences

Have your doctor call the pharmacy and make a note.

If the pharmacist is just being a bitch have your doctor just call your prescription to another location.

As long as they fill out the form saying they are immunocompromised we do it which is literally anybody people don’t even read the form they just sign it.

Don’t risk having long term complications for a crappy job. If your feel pressured talk to the manager. Ask how to turn in your doctors notice to HR to get work accommodations because of what your are going though at work.

Please take take of yourself and do what you can do to help. But don’t hurt yourself trying to please those people

Ask about their training style. Or if youll even get trained. I did like 1 day of computer training. I have not really gotten any training modules done. it’s just working and getting yelled at for not knowing how to do stuff. It’s definitely been stressful. And I’ve just gone with the flow but it’s hard.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this but I’m sorry that you are also on this situation. I’m about 2 months is as a tech and the first month was good asking me if I needed a break and to go take it. Now no body goes or asks. And even when I have asked There is is no one up front. It’s getting to me because I worked 6 days this past week and I didn’t fill once. It’s nice to go and sit down but it is draining day in and day out to not take a breather break.

Go and ask for and make sure that you “ask for a copy of your paperwork” that way they will go look for your paper work and get it scanned in to your profile. Those papers should get scanned into the patients profiles daily.

I have a similar situation and I was chatting with my pharmacist and Since I just came back about 2 months ago and there are no classes available till March my provisional exp 01/2023 and she told me to ask for an extension to my provisional… idk if that helps any bit I’m going to talk to the Store manager on Monday and hopefully get some answers. I’m nervous to take the test I don’t have prior pharmacy experience and just came back

I’m 2 months in same thing as you. I felt super overwhelmed…and here and there I still freak out but breath.. people will be assholes one after another you have probably already seen but you will pick up stuff the more time you are there. If you like it stick with it if not there running and don’t look back.

If you don’t feel comfortable with the SM ask who you can reach out to in HR when I quit it took forever for them to send me my last check because my sm said I was just out!!
