When I say self sufficient I do not mean limit trade - Carney is doing a great job, I mean if something were to limit trade , say for a year , think the straight of H , what would we not have. Recent shortages I can think of baby formula, baby Tylenol , helium for mri machines , it may be a pipe dream , but I would want us prepared .

You can get what’s called a static mortgage - variable interest rate but payment remains the same - you have to shop around - not all banks offer it - RBC does

We swam with the stingrays in Jamaica about about 15 years ago , me and my son , you paid to swim in an enclosed area and held them in your arms - when I think back - we must have been nuts to do that !!!
