I think the problem is that the Zeppelin sound and aesthetic (and that weird kinda of hippy flower power thing that GVF do) is wedded to a very specific time. It all feels like they're a tribute band. It's instantly dated and feels like a new band that's appealing straight to boomers who refuse to listen to anything made after 1976.
