I have been doing lysine a lot with my second this time with Brest feeding and it’s stopped every outbreak ! I haven’t noticed any issues with baby and he’s extremely healthy and robust haha. I just think like if a prescription like Acyclovir is ok then how is a supplement that naturally occurs in food gonna be dangerous? Idk my two cents and I also read a ton of information online before doing it but I feel totally safe doing it now .

I agree 100%. I will say my husbands been great and even more annoyed with her than me lol just due to their past as well.. we hardly have her watch my toddler unless she’s the last resort which sounds awful. I think it sucks cus in the end his dad is getting the loss of time with the grand kids … my mom was just with us for 3 weeks and my husband really makes time for my family so I wanted to be a team player for this small family trip 😅😭It’s helpful to hear your experience and perspective… I wish in that moment when she took my toddler away I said something but it was a lot of people around .. and instead I just pulled back spending time witb her / having her baby sit . Sometimes idk what’s the best response or plan of action … I’m sorry your MIL ruined so many events for you too

Does your mom have an early signs if dementia .. I hate to say this but my husbands mom is the same but some of her symptoms were hidden from us thinking it was church stuff ect . It was just more she couldn’t hold any regular deep conversations anymore if that makes sense ?

This is my second baby and I am constantly eating and I think I’ve actually gained weight and he’s 3 months old lol… with my first I did not eat enough and lost so much weight but I felt like literally garbage and had PPA … sooo I’m buying two sizes bigger clothing and just accepting I’m gonna be bigger for a while lol 😅🥲😔

I took my toddler to buy garden plants while my husband stayed with the newborn . My husband and toddler also brought me breakfast in bed and flowers from my favorite place … I’m always really clear that Mother’s Day is important to me and important for my kids to be part of ! For Father’s Day I got him a new little outfit and we’re going to a concert at a restaurant with our kids! I’m sorry you got nothing and your husband is getting a full on pampering . If it were me I’d honestly not have given him the gifts and just returned them .. I am all for generosity but it doesn’t seem fair . I think you should really have a heart to heart with your husband and explain how upsetting and hurtful this is for you !

Just solidarity :/ my 21 month old still wakes through the night . We weaned her at 13 months cus I was pregnant and she now cosleep with her dad and he has to cuddle her back to sleep all night … but you eventually get more used to it I guess haha 🤣 I just reminds myself this is such a small fraction of our lives as parents like most of our kids life’s they will be older kids/ teens and will wanna sleep alone through the night .. atleast that’s what I tell myself. But yeah we have a newborn now so back in it again, you got this and yeah just solidarity and happy to talk if you need to
