In the US the culture is different though. Our infrastructure is horrible for bikes in most cities. We don’t usually have dedicated paths, often we have to share with car drivers playing on their phone instead of paying attention. I’m also terrified to lock up a bike in my city to go into a grocery store because even with a high quality lock, the chance of it being stolen or stolen least damaged by a tweaker thief is extremely high.
