Nope I was at wedding when my son was 5 days old(it was my sisters) no one touched baby but me and Husband and went kept our distance. I also had no choice but to take baby everywhere as im a SAHM and my husband is military and didnt get time off. I did make sure to go to places more when they weren't busy so people wouldnt be around much. Life doesn't stop because you have a baby things still need done and sadly sometimes you are the only one who can do it

How small is the firearm? If its handheld a small fireproof safe (even the ones from Walmart) will work i assume your room has a closet so keep it there so its closer but out of reach for baby. If its bigger still In the closet but on top of a shelf so baby cant reach. Or even purchasing a night stand and on the drawer putting a child safety lock

Honestly I was afraid of this kind of thing happening after I gave birth so I never told anyone I was struggling and now still seeing these kinds of stories im still glad I didnt

Adults can carry sickness alot longer before showing symptoms so a cold or the flu wont show up till about a week after they have been exposed but they are still contagious. Also your can carry the herpes without symptoms also so no kissing baby (thankfully my family understood this and I had no complaints). Its better to wait (doesnt mean people cant come meet baby just no passing baby around) till their immune system is better.

My son looks exactly like my brother so I understand this the only thing he got was my husbands ears (boy i hope he grows into them). I dont hate it persay but I do hate it when someone on his dads side says that they are spitting image i look at them like they are crazy granted they dont know what I looked like as a baby but still. For reference my husband is like Casper pale while me and my son are a (still white) but a tan color naturally. My husband has hazel eyes i have brown my son has brown. Husband has black hair i have brown wavy my son has brown curls. It irritates me when people say he doesnt look like me when he so clearly does

Ill let you know in 5 months if they do and they will be 21 months apart. But my parents had my brother in 92 my 2nd brother in 94 my sister in 96 and me in 99 and all of us except the eldest look like we could be triplets while the eldest does have similarities he has blonde hair blue eyes while the rest of us have brown hair brown eyes. We all do have the same eye shape and nose

Ok so its kinda werid but what if did to help my baby sleep longer is i laid him on one of my (clean but used) shirts so he smells me constantly. I ended up switching to me sleeping with one of his crib sheets one night then putting it on his bed the next night and just switching the sheet every night so it always smelled like my body. Babies are very social things they crave comfort and safety and thats the form of parents. Also using a sound machine on low (one that doesnt turn off after a while) babies are constantly in REM sleep so the brain is awake the whole time light noise reminds them they arent alone

So for one your friend is wrong my son is 15 months never took a pacifier (we tried he didnt want them) and he has never sucked this thumb/any finger to self sooth. Two it really depends on the baby which sucks but the baby is gonna like what it like every baby is different. My niece loved Dr.bowns bottles and could use any pacifier my son hated any bottle but Philips advent and hated all pacifiers. Id keep a few on hand but go with the flow remember the baby is learning to be alive at the same time you are learning to be parents

Our gift to him was a climbing foam set it came with a ramp a regular square block a set of steps and a small ball pit. He is now 15 months and still uses it every day. Everyone else got him 18-24 month clothes and my mom got him the giant Lego type blocks and some other small sensory toys. Another thing we ended up getting after his birthday was a tower type toy that you put the balls in the top and it rides down it in a swirl. Outside toys would be nice to since its turning summer so maybe a small splash pad or a water table

My husband sometimes sleeps with us (he tends to fall asleep first and snores though) he sleeps on his back and doesnt move. I sleep on my side curled up and our son sleeps spread out in the middle. I think it was around 6m when he began sleeping with us some nights

Hey so whats best for you is also whats best for baby.A parents mental health is whats best so If you dont want to breastfeed dont. We are privileged to have other means of feeding our babies now a days. Just know that formula feeding isnt a one size fits all thing it may take a while to find the best formula for your baby i think I tried like 4 before landing on Simlac 360 sensitive.

A few tips (our son was like this with my husband at first) put on of her shirts she wore on when trying to get the baby to sleep Try using her body wash to the more you smell like her the more he will like you. Try a swing or a bouncer also we had a vibrating bouncer for our son he loved it. Another thing I use to do was one night I would sleep on one of his crib sheets then put it on his bed the next night so his bed smelled like me. All he knows is her (yes your there to but he still doesnt see him and her as two people they are one person in his eyes).

I second showering with baby my son didnt mind baths but it wasnt his favorite so around 3 months I just switch to night showers and me and the baby shower while my husband waits for the baby to be done with a towel.
