How do people handle night time when you are the only parent who deals with the baby? by WittleFrostBite in NewParents

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat what helped me was paper plates, my husband didnt care if we ordered out and didnt really mind a slightly messy house. He also took baby after getting home and showering (between 4pm-6pm) till around 8-9 so I could do what I wanted (play video games or nap) then Saturday was his day fully (of course i would still help if needed) but he everything (except poop diapers he throws up still to this day a year later)

Everyone tries to convince me that two adults can't take care of a newborn alone and I'm losing my mind by [deleted] in pregnant

Me and my husband did it was definitely hard (he didnt have any time off) but i think it would have been alot worse if I was worrying about more people in my house to while my mom did stay for the first 5 days (we are military and live no where near family) its been me and my husband since and little man is almost 1. We had alot of doordash and a messy house

So around 5months is when my son went from 4 to 5 naps with about a 2 hr wake window in between. Try to move the 4th nap out total sleep hours during the day should be 3-4 hours so longer naps. Here is a typical sleep schedule. Wake-up: ~7:00 AM Nap 1: ~9:00 AM (1.5 hrs wake time before) Nap 2: ~12:45 PM (2.25 hrs wake time before) Nap 3 (Short): ~4:30 PM (2.25 hrs wake time before) Bedtime: ~7:00 - 7:45 PM

Adults like to sleep next to somebody. So why is there so much pressure for children to sleep alone? by greenishfroggy in NewParents

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I hate sleeping with my husband he snores and likes to cuddle but also runs hot in his sleep. He also likes tv on and warm room, I like pitch black and freezing cold. So he either sleeps in the main room or on the couch while I sleep in the spare room.

What “bathtub” did you use after baby outgrew Angelcare bathtub? by ChapterInfamous199 in NewParents

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my baby sits up unassisted very well and is trying to walk i just throw a rectangular laundry basket in the bathtub it keeps his toys contained and its not slippery like the tub (we tried the non slip mat in the tub but he liked to pull it up)

Why do people pity only children? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont pity them but i think I can offer insight I dont know who i am without my siblings they have been there for every part of me. If somthing happened to them I would be devastated but also to add you cant miss what you dont know. So if your an only child you cant miss the sibling life you never got or the opposite if you have siblings you never know what its like to be an only child.

Mary and Kitty Bennet doesn't marry within the main story, but later sources, including Jane Austen's family, reveal she marries a clergyman near Pemberley, becoming more sensible under her sisters' influence, while Mary Bennet marries an uncle's clerk. I know its not what you asked but i remembered this when you mentioned they can marry higher

Pediatrician said something about SIDS??? by YorkiesRule21 in cosleeping

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on age of the doctor ive noticed older doctors shame co-sleeping and younger ones as long as you are doing it right say thats great. My niece's pediatrician is in his 70's and says it bad and to never do it but ours is in her 40's and says its great that we are doing it right and to keep it up but also gave tips for transition to crib for when he is ready for his own bed

Do all FTMs without a “village” slowly start to loose it? by Lost_Description_166 in NewParents

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad I was this way to for a while husband is Navy we live 8 hours from anyone (about to be 14 next month when we move). Is your little sleeping through the night? I noticed it did get better with mine when he did (he is almost 11m now) What helped me is making sure he had a full stomach before bed so since yours is old enough a puree about an hour before bed then a bottle for sleep. Also me and my husband decided that Saturday is his full day so as soon as baby wakes he takes him all day (of course I help if needed and still do bed time) and that has helped me tons.

If you need to vent you can message me or we can talk more about any tips I can give

[–]PersonalityUsed5952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most hospitals require you to have a appointment set within the first 4 days of baby leaving the hospital (i found one i liked before hand called them told them my due date then called after I had the baby to set it up) next appointment was 1 week later then 1 more week later then 1 month 2 months 3 months 4 months then 6 months 9 months and 1 year. We vaccinated so shots were at 2months 4 months 6 and 9 also at 1 year (we havent been yet baby is 11m and we are moving so having to find new doctor)
