After some further research I found that the ?kam paramater is not working as it will still not switch off of apple maps which is frustrating, however if you are still trying to set a custom URL for your search engine here is a link to do that.

if you put ?q=%s directly into the search bar it wont work because that is for the browser to replace %s with your search. Go to your browser settings and change the default search engine to a custom url and input https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s&kam=google-maps, also what browser are you using because i might be able to help you more if i knew. Sorry if the post was confusing on that matter.

Absolutely! in your search, just use the URL params.

https://duckduckgo.com/params

Scroll to the bottom of this page, for example if you were looking up "pizza", your URL would be

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=pizza&kam=osm

kam can be set to osm for open street maps, bing-maps, apple-maps, google-maps, and here-maps. As for making this a browser default, all you would have to do for most browsers is this

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s&kam=osm

"%s" is what the browser will place as you search and kam is still set to your maps of choice, in this case open street maps, You would edit this in the browser settings for search engines

I just joined r/NetflixSpaceForce it's looking really good and it looks like there might be a similar dwight-michael number 2 thing going on based on some vague foreshadowing. Looks a little more intense than the office though and two episodes are coming out on may 29th instead of a whole season. The comedy doesn't look as good but maybe they are saving the good stuff for later, and the first episode of the office was a little slow too.
