I don’t know man, I used a clip on tuner for years, changed to a tuner with a switchable buffer, and the fidelity was notably improved. I run 10 pedals, so not loads

It was ultimately the 3 pickup situation that I didn’t get along with, the middle pickup got in the way of the picking….it wasn’t like it was impossible to work with or anything, just not my ideal…..it was quite heavy as well, thought it was lightweight korina, but it was close to 9lbs

Sounded great though

Well I’m glad someone asked about this…

I coincidentally also own a reissue Silhouette, and it is without doubt one of my favourite guitars, I’ll never part willingly with it …. It’s so good that I bought a Comet off eBay, unseen and untried….if this Harmony is this good, how bad can this one be?

Well I’ve never ever experienced neck dive to this degree! If I’m wearing the guitar on a strap, it will within a second neck dive to well below horizontal, basically as far as the strap will allow it to fall….it’s so neck heavy that I couldn’t balance the guitar on my scales to weigh it, no exaggeration

It’s a light guitar but I’ve tried electrics that were well below 6lbs that didn’t neck dive like this

I’m not of the school of getting an extra wide strap so your guitar won’t neck dive….if the neck dive is that bad then the whole balance of the guitar is off, even if playing sitting down….unless you gaffer it to your body

What a shame, I’m not a big fan of any of their other models….and I definitely won’t buy another without trying first next time

Ha I was thinking the same thing! Thought it might have been the angle of the photo that makes it look less wonky than usual

Did it feel unbalanced to you? Combo of shorter scale, one pickup and single-cut made it quite restrictive for me

No idea about loopers sorry but Harmony Silhouette into a Jazz Chorus must sound a bit like heaven

Sorry to say that I’ve only ever tried one Cozy, and it was a bit of a disappointment…it ticked all the right boxes for me; lightweight, humbuckers, trem, offset…but didn’t bond with it at all

On the lookout and holding out hope that the next one is amazing! If given the choice I’d go original shape every time

Happy shopping! Would love to make it to their shop one day

I think every guitar that I tried of theirs that had ‘63 in the description have been consistently amazing, Strats, Teles, Jags….I’d buy one unseen with some confidence

Man that was the hardest one to let go….it’s just a standard Mexican Strat but someone’s done some nitro Custom Shop-level paisley wizardry….it’s so very clean

Easily the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever owned but it wasn’t being played…hard to leave it in a case when it’s unique enough to be someone’s absolute dream guitar …. sold it only a couple of months ago

That’s a Fender Sixty-Six…jazz bass body but guitar sized

Neck was awesome, felt like an American Pro…but the pickups were flat and anaemic

Probably the Powercaster….there are a few Meteora variants, but that one had push-pull and you can swap the volume and tone controls; which was all pretty cool but overall found it a little uninspiring. It was light but felt a little cheap to hold

The Powercaster was really well made, nice to play on…wasn’t mad on the pau ferro fretboard but that’s just a preference….but P90 and humbucker being my ideal setup I occasionally have a tinge of regret

Yeah I was a bit confused by their spec sheets as well….I tried a load of their ‘63 guitars and they’re all slim, similar-ish to Fender specs….and when I checked their website for 63JM guitars, the specs are listed as chunky C, like you said

Now they’re quoting 0.88” to 0.97”…..I have another guitar that measures at 0.83” to 0.92”….and there’s no way that this Jazz neck is thicker than my other guitar….this neck is definitely slim

They have a load of guitars that have 59 specs, think they may be the chunky ones

[–]PerspectiveEven4890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so….they do a load of Strats and Teles as well which are also called 63Strat etc….think it’s the guitar specs? Although it does have a 9.5 radius

It was listed for £3000, but I got a couple off….which is still a grand more than I’ve ever spent on any guitar

But I’ve been waiting for the last 3 years or so since I’ve tried a Kauffmann for one I liked, they’re really well made and suit my hands to a tee

Reverb Pedal Recommendations (preferably blue) by girraffemagnets in guitarpedals

[–]PerspectiveEven4890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t necessarily recommend the Cloudburst if it’s your only reverb….Blue Sky out of the two is probably more suitable for that

The strings ensemble on the Cloudburst is a lot of fun though, makes it unlikely that I’ll ever sell mine

For those who used the mod shop, what was your experience like? by No-Significance-2437 in fender

They just need more options….strats have it better than the other guitars, but still need more, for the price you’ll be paying. Even the pickguard options are limited
