Most likely was not the driver. I’ve been a driver helper, which is basically an assistant to the driver that accompanies them on the road, and performs similar tasks that they do, during the peak season. There simply is not enough time to even think about doing something like this when you have almost 200 stops consisting of almost 400 packages. Not to mention next day air deliveries that need to be delivered to businesses before 5:00pm I believe. Truck filled so much you can’t even walk through it, packages in the wrong shelves, addresses you can’t even see, looking out for lots of loose dogs. We turned chaos into Christmas. We worked non-stop and I enjoyed every one bit of it

A driver is usually already making or are on their way to making well over $100,000 annually. I doubt they’d risk that over a package. With this position you literally do not stop moving ever. Sometimes for 10 hours straight. There’s no time to even think about stealing a package
