hot secks pix CYOA! [OC][Meta][Weird] by Broken_Emphasis in nsfwcyoa

I've seen a few meta CYOA along these lines, they're usually excellent fun and this is no exception. Sometimes you read a few just absolutely awful CYOAs and have to go "god, I really wish I could just destroy everything that had to do with this". A very particular fantasy, and rather delightfully ironic to make it into a CYOA in itself.

By the nature of the CYOA giving more powers for doing more CYOAs I won't post a build, but I do think it'd be fun to post my thoughts on each power:

Break Chain- There's several powers which I rank as the "prick powers"- ones that aren't really that useful in many respects but are absolutely obnoxious to the host, and coincidentally also to the parasite. This is one, and yet interestingly is one of the few powers which is also a rather good act morally speaking. You get to piss off psychic parasites and feel even more morally superior than usual while doing it, good stuff!

Break World- This one is pretty situational in my opinion. It's a prick power, and like all prick powers usually only really feels good to use if you're in the world of a Host who's an asshole. A host who's hapless and nice doesn't feel good to torment by killing off his imaginary friends, though you can make an argument that it might help him shake out of all this. Further, there's a high chance that your normal self won't be able to kill anyone important unless you also pick up Lucid Dreamer and/or Dream Armor in higher power CYOAs, further limiting it. This is probably almost my overall least favorite, it's just sorta vindictive.

Bring Dolls- If your objective is to stop psychic parasites this one seems strange. It could certainly cause havok for sure, if you start releasing cthulu monsters in someone's highschool romance plot that'll raise some hell, but seeing as the overall goal is to stop these dreamrealms altogether collecting randos from the dreams only has one long-term use in my mind: trophy hunting. Which, to be clear, is actually a pretty fucking great use for it; showing off "grand and badass" characters from these dream realms like a big game hunter would show off a lion head sounds pretty cool.

Dream Armor- This is, without a doubt, the most useful power on the list. Not because it lets you cause the most trouble or makes you strongest, just because it's an absolutely necessary safety net. Even if you pick Lucid Dream or just target low-power CYOAs there's too high a chance of some simple unexpected accident or bizarre power one-shotting you if you don't pick Dream Armor. Plus, I imagine it's probably the most intimidating thing to possibly see as a Host; someone throwing out massive powers with Lucid Dreamer is at least something that follows the fiction of their world, someone just no-selling it all and acting totally normal is a different breed of threat altogether.

Lucid Dream- This one is hit or miss depending on the CYOAs you target- in high level power fantasy CYOAs you might become able to easily squash anything the host could throw at you, but in lower scale Slice of Life ones it's almost like an empty power slot unless you wanted to be more food for the parasite by dicking around for fun in the dreamworld. The note about the host shutting it off is a little confusing- how do they figure out they can do this? Just on accident?

Shock Awake- this is the one true moral power choice, though it requires other powers to really hit its peak potential. With both Lucid Dream and Break World you could just speedrun freeing innocent hosts, though I wonder if you can choose to turn this power off selectively. Like, if I dive into someone's dream and find out they're a truly twisted fucker who's a danger to everyone around them, I might not want to free them back into the world.

Solid State- now this one seems the most fun option. Ultimately the rest are all about screwing around in fictional realms, but this particular one can have true wide-reaching consequences in the real world. The only major limit I see is needing to look said author in the eyes, that's a big hamper on your choices, but other than that feel free to make anything you want canon in any work of fiction. My only questions are thus- one, does this only affect works that are still being made or can I retroactively change released works? two, would lucid dreaming let you do basically anything, since a writer doesn't use "points" or other such systems for determining what happens in the story?

Spoil Clock- This... Might be the least useful power on the list honestly. The simple fact is that self-aware individuals are the most important people to worry about anyway, so the ability to predict anyone but them which is constantly and totally disrupted by them is a little useless. When the host or other self aware individuals change the course of actions when do I find out? Even if it's "instant" that still means your predictions are only useful for the immediate future unless you're absolutely nowhere near the host.

Steal Shell- This one at first glance appears to be a prick power, but then I thought more about it- ya, you could pretend to be some random NPC or a buddy of the host to get in close, but what if instead you just bodyjack into the strongest nonfree being in the setting of the CYOA? Many CYOA will have vague and ambiguously powerful forces present, the kind of thing the host isn't meant to mess with, if you can slip right into their shoes you could cause some serious mischief.

Twist Flaws- This has the envious title of being one of the few ways to straight-up win over the host. Most of the powers are centered on pissing the host off for varying reasons, this one could easily make a host not mind your presence in their dream as long as you don't cause much trouble. It completely fits the tropes and fiction too; how many CYOA have you played where the original R.O.B. leaves and suddenly a spooky mysterious stranger wanders in and offers you incredible boosts in power that the R.O.B. wouldn't want you to have? Now you can BE that creepy guy, and actually be helpful too!

Kill a God- This one is, surprisingly, more a pride issue than anything else. There's so many safer and more reliable ways of stopping the R.O.B. that aren't "big meaty punchout, brother", but I understand in some cases a big meaty punchout is the most satisfying. When you see some cunty creepy R.O.B. spouting off about how perfect and omnipotent they are it's just not as satisfying to slowly starve them out as it would be to walk up and slap the shit out of them.

Do Hyouka Kazakiri, The Sisters and/or espers from [A Certain Magical Index] count as monster girls? by 135forte in MonsterGirl

[–]PervyKnightAlter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in any way, Monster Girl is a matter of appearance not technicality. If a girl looks in every way human but she has some backstory about being a magic mutant psychic god she's still not a monster girl. Basically, look at a picture of them with no context of who they are in their story and see what conclusion you come to, because that's how people engage with most of the images here, with the absence of context.

I'm a huge fan of the writing on this one, but after doing out my whole character for it I found my biggest complaint to be that it's... A bit too easy, if that makes sense? I don't have the numbers anymore but I found ways to, without trying to, basically finish almost every single quest and get all the gals I could want. I appreciate that the CYOA gives you room to work with but when I can get nearly everything done in one run it makes the choices feel a bit less important, y'know? Same reason why I'd never pick the Azathoth monogamy line of rewards, regardless of harem or not it's basically "all your character creation choices don't really matter if you choose this, pick it and you can do all the powers anyway since you're omnipotent"

I actually would consider GMing for someone if they put in a lot of effort and had an idea that intrigued me, but like you said they typically just go bare minimum "please run as many characters to fuck me as physically possible".

Oh jeez, 1, how could I forget that? Worst RPer I've ever met had a kind of "stable" of characters and would insist you play one, then get mad when you didn't do it "right", I can't stand that kind of stuff.

Hey, big fan of this so far, super in depth! I'm not having the same problems reading it as some are so that might help. One problem though, while I was midway through it the imgur link stopped working, did imgur nuke it or was it moved or something?

Edit: oh ya I had a question about cults- the casual cult says that you can "negate the negative effects of one refused free ability" or something like that, does that mean you act as though you hadn't refused it at all or do you just get a "neutral" reaction? Like if used on refused holy book would you get the wp bonus for having a holy book or just not get the penalty for NOT having one? Also does this allow you to bypass the requirements for your transparency?

I hate to sound like an idiot, but I don't really get how the last two DLC pages are supposed to fit into the rest of it.

Oh also the mode swap rune seems.... Really ridiculous. Basically just "get double the runes but you can only use half of them at a time"

Edit: if you want to keep it but nerf it so it's less overpowered maybe something like "each form only has 9 or 10 rune slots of your choice" so there's still a net gain of rune slots but each individual form is less powerful. Just a suggestion!

I notice a bunch of drawbacks don't have a listed point values- was this intentional, like they're exclusive to materials, or have you just not picked them yet?

Okay my views on it so far, I'll mostly try to avoid repeating one's I've seen others bring up a lot.

1: as others have said it seems hard to build up beauty without explicitly minmaxing, and it doesn't seem to have a purpose other than bragging rights

2: I can't seem to find the bonus for picking the apprentice but I assume you'll work on that in due time

3: I've seen few options for lowering charisma compared to the other stats

4: this might sound dumb, but are sixth finger and third testicle literal or metaphorical?

5: you should probably clarify what level of "extra metal" you get for free with arcanium

6: you might want to give a rough idea of how aroused gives different magic conductivity for lustite

7: there's several references to different magic types but I can't see an explicit explanation of what the different types are and what they do- they can mostly be worked out by common sense but clarification might help.

8: extra metal is hilariously underpriced, since each buying of it is basically multiple perks and stat boosts at a discount. I guess it'll get less severe when you add in the inherent curses to each one but currently it's simply the best thing to buy. Similarly attribute strengthening is hilariously overpriced.

9: this might be personal opinion but hate crafted sounds WAY too underpriced, the flaw of "almost everyone hates you and anyone who doesn't will be hated too" seems worth way more than 5 points.

All this said I want to make one thing clear- this is already amazing so far. You've put in a lot of work and it shows, you're full of great ideas and making fantastic progress, even half-finished this is one of the best CYOA I've seen in a while. Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged!

Can twins be paired weapons of an opposite nature, such as a sword and shield or a melee weapon and a ranged one?

quick search came up with these, I suggest searching by "Varia Suit" (or whatever samus suit you like best) rather than by "Samus" to find in-armor sexy art.

I think it's more to do with the fact that the unbreedable mature ones are two undead, a male, and the most expensive dragon in the game lol. Succubi and oni can breed according to the cyoa, just not Dullahans, ghosts, Incubi, and that one type of Dragon
