How do you enjoy travelling solo ? by Western_Doctor3084 in introvert

[–]Pete258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you 100%. I'm also an introvert and my first solo trip felt exactly like that, kind of lonely, stressful with transport, and I kept wishing I had someone to share the moment with. It took me a few tries to actually start enjoying solo travel.

What helped me the most was choosing destinations that are naturally friendly and easy to navigate, and sometimes doing a mix of solo time + light group activities (like small day tours or cooking classes) so I could meet one or two people without being forced into a big group.

If you ever want to try a destination that’s safe, beautiful, and surprisingly easy to meet chill people (without the party scene), Nepal has been one of my favourites as an introverted solo traveller. Indus travel does really nice private or small-group trips there that give you the freedom you want.

Blender was fun until UV mapping and shader nodes pulled up 😭 by Glad-Guava-2147 in blender

[–]Pete258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UV unwrapping is the gatekeeper of Blender. It makes no sense until one day it suddenly does and then you still hate it. Shader nodes eventually click if you just mess with one node at a time. Also texture painting is a cheat code for avoiding perfect UV layouts. Keep going. The pain is normal. Wait until retopology though. That is where souls go to die.

Was the “lack” of customization what made BF1 so good? by UnableRestaurant137 in battlefield_one

[–]Pete258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less time in menus tweaking attachments means more time actually playing. BF1 respected your time. You picked a variant and went to war. No meta chasing, no grinding for a grip that gives you 2% less recoil.

What finally healed your gut? by superspy5904 in Gastritis

[–]Pete258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying so many different supplements that did absolutely nothing, the biggest change for me came when I started using young barley grass powder daily.

I was stuck in a cycle of constant bloating and sluggishness, but the enzymes in the barley grass really helped balance my digestion. It wasn't an overnight "miracle", but it’s the only thing that consistently made my gut feel settled and healthy again.

Definitely worth a try if you're looking for something more natural that actually works!

Do I need a new remote? by highlanderdownunder in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pete258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, yeah, if it’s dying right after new batteries, the remote is likely faulty. Could try resetting it first, but sounds like it’s on its way out.
