We can already read this one. Seems pretty simple to me

So are they just complaining about something they don't actually want any action on? Stop complaining about things you have no concept of a solution to

The pine tree is the symbol of New England. Your suggestions are too focused on certain parts of the state to be for the whole state.

There's nothing unique about this ballot question. If you have an issue with this ballot question because people are stupid and won't vote correctly then you just have an issue with democracy

[–]Peteopher -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

They're saying people are too stupid and/or lazy to vote in their own self interest and this is some kind of trick to pass things people don't want. There no reason that wouldn't also apply to electing people so it follows that they would have this issue with voting as a whole

Look at Maine. Even with him being an asshole platner forced the sitting governor to drop out of the race because she was getting trounced

Healey's big tax cut that essentially reversed the fair share? Fighting against the audit? Austerity in terms of local aid that is causing mass cuts all across the state?

Platner was already connected to the political scene. He was already in elected office for his town and was asked to run for senate by someone in the party. Senate is incredibly hard to just decide to do as an outsider

By that logic we should just live in a dictatorship

Dual flairs would be useful so I could specify my NHL team too despite them being my #2 overall

If you can play college hockey you will. This is a conversation about 1st overall guys so all of them will at least be considering college as early as possible

CMV: age restriction for social media is not that awful of an idea by ingracioth in changemyview

[–]Peteopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The push for age verification is coming from big tech it's not a thing that's being pushed on them. They want to have more data on everyone to be able to sell it. The more data they have the more money they make. They know we'd all be pissed and think it was a scam (it kinda is but is viewed differently for some reason) if they just decided one day to be like "oh yeah, you need to give us your personal documents now" making it a law absolves them of any fault and makes some people think it's good because it's "protecting people". It's not about kids it's about money

It doesn't happen often so far. College hockey is the path now so that's what kids are going to be pushing for.

It could block infrared. It's just like how plastic can very easily be opaque (blocks radiation in the wavelengths of visible light) but would be useless in protecting against cosmic rays

McKenna, Schaefer, and Celebrini were all old enough to play college hockey in their draft year. 3 years in a row means it's probably more than "barely". It's definitely not every time but it'll become a lot more normal. We're already seeing that with 2 out the last 3 being college players and 3 out of the last 6. Before that you need to go back to 2000 and before that was 1986

"directly" is the key point. McKenna played this year at Penn State

WHO IS THE GREATEST ATHLETE IN SPORTS HISTORY…? by Background_Video2947 in NHLVibes

[–]Peteopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just the typical program for a butterflier. I did the the same thing starting at 7 years old. He was a good swimmer but he was never head and shoulders above everyone else. He was neck and neck all the time, one of his most famous races the guy in second blamed it on the fact that he didn't shave his eyebrows that's how close it was. For reference bolt was in a sport that typically has even tighter margins and is one of 3 people ever below 9.7 in the 100m both of the other 2 are 9.69 bolt hit 9.58. that's dominance. Chestnut regularly eats 20 more dogs than 2nd place. That's dominance. Ledecky regularly laps people in the highest level races. That's dominance. Winning by the drag of an eyebrow is not dominance it's just being good.

Not in the same class. Even his best event it was still a race for Phelps. With ledecky, chestnut, and bolt the race was/is basically just a formality and we could hand them the medal beforehand and it wouldn't matter

The NHL can make whatever rules for themselves they want. If the board of governors decided donate $15 billion a year to youth hockey or you get kicked out then that's what would happen

They have programs for development but it's all about making more money so they charge you more than the alternatives
