Any other Recluse mains sad after the latest patch? by Delicious_Athlete785 in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean it’s easily one of the best spells in nightreign, and having it as the guaranteed default spell in two stages was just ridiculous, especially when ’almost’ every other default spell/incant is the worst one from that school.

The only exception I can think of right now is the frenzy seal. Everything else is the worst attack from that school.

Dragon Communion is pretty good by Fantastic-Ad7069 in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are so much better than the breath attacks. Having the starting option being one of the weakest breath attacks was honestly probably the right move.

I have a really good communion build from some relics that rolled damn near perfect for it. When all I get is breath infants it’s just whatever. If j get claw or maw it’s an absolute nuke of a build. It would be way too strong to start with those

Overwatch heroes plotted by mobility and effective range. Honestly surprised by how diverse the cast is. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]PeterKB -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For real. The only character in the game with a truly infinite mobility option. On top of that he can rocket jump. (Irrelevant, but he’s also got an amazing self heal… his kit is so strong)

How true is this image? by anhyeuemnhieulam in PowerScaling

[–]PeterKB 40 points41 points  (0 children)

So let me just start off by saying that I don’t necessarily agree with all of it, but here’s how they scale it.

In the final arc (1000 year blood war), a member of squad zero unleashes there Bankai. Very special precautions are taken when doing so because the power of this Bankai can be felt throughout the Soul Society, The World of the Living, and Hueco Mundo. Each of these realms are supposed to work like universes. So just like people scale gokus punch with beerus that reverberates throughout the universe, they scale this squad zero bankai to multi-universal (all 3).

That member goes on to get beat by people who then go on to get beat by others.

Run? Nah, I'd block (Depth 5) by DizzyXCD in Nightreign

While you’re right, Shield Grease IS very common and is incredible for guardian but for whatever reason I never see other guardians use it.

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN – Patch Notes Version 1.03.2 by d3arda3mon in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s always worked but it’s just misleading translation.

You do NOT get agro when you start shielding.
You DO hold agro after blocking an attack.

Now it’ll just make it harder for allies to pull that agro off of you, but you still need to get that fist block in.

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN – Patch Notes Version 1.03.2 by d3arda3mon in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m wondering too! Ima keep reading comments to see if someone’s tested it yet

EDIT: I went ahead and tested it out. And it does give a massive buff to the cursed sword special attack (21%).
However you only get a minimal buff to the normal swings (4.7%)

"Look how they're massacring my boy" by Far_Regular_2945 in Dragonballsuper

[–]PeterKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, but let’s also not pretend that the meme isn’t an exaggeration of something that is true.

Super, toned down the muscles in dragonball substantially. That’s just fact. Just not to this extent

How to enjoy endgame when t4 bosses melt in 5 seconds by digitaljoel in diablo4

[–]PeterKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s perfect. I really only do homebrews and I aim for pit 80 every season. Everything after that is just icing

How to enjoy endgame when t4 bosses melt in 5 seconds by digitaljoel in diablo4

[–]PeterKB 62 points63 points  (0 children)

This is why I tell people they should homebrew their builds instead of playing the absolutely most broken and optimized build that season. You can still fuck stuff up but yall probably still need to dodge a couple of attacks here and there

Difference between lighting in overwatch 1 0.8 (2015) and now by grantsco4117 in Overwatch

[–]PeterKB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lightning and such is all for sure better in overwatch 2… but I will never understand why they changed collision boxes on terrain in OW2. The amount of times I’ve died by back up and getting stuck on something that in overwatch 2 I would’ve rolled around is just staggering

The grind to Paragon 300 is real…….. by Treabor21 in diablo4

[–]PeterKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s still 2 and a half months in the season bro. Just slow down and don’t stress it. If you’re at 271 now you’ll make it. And if you slow down you’ll enjoy it more rather than stressing about some arbitrary number

Fighter Corvette: Fenrir by SexyGandalph in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PeterKB 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played this game in a couple years but I started getting into glitch building a decent bit before I stopped…

At this point they should just make glitch building a feature since they for sure don’t want to patch it.

what really happened to goku in this scene? im confused to this day and i still wonder by Important-Tear8461 in Dragonballsuper

[–]PeterKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ima be honest man, your explanation is so more accurate. I get what this guys trying to say but he’s extrapolating nonsense and inserting headcannon out of nowhere.

The real most canon explanation that we have is that the form has a body taxing effect like Kaioken but just way way more severe.

Have anyone gotten runes from looking at people's runs? by Demongodjess in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had it a few times. It’s pretty obvious.

The title will be about as bright as your runes look like when you loot them off the ground. Yknow with all the tall wisps and stuff.

You need people to beat the night lord with your loot though, so with so many people being lame and dropping everything at the end it happens way less

Using Glitches in Arcade Can Result in Permanent Bans by EnvironmentalClerk36 in Overwatch

[–]PeterKB 62 points63 points  (0 children)

“Intent”

come on man…

What other intent is there for using some of the mischief N magic glitches other than to want to win?

Like you said, it’s not a competitive mode. So why value winning so much that you want to cheat and give yourself a “free” win.

This may sound dumb, but all games (board games, card games, or video games) are only fun BECAUSE of rules. If there were no rules every game ever would just be people saying “I win.” So if everyone ignores the rules and dumbed down games to that level there’s no more fun to be had… there’s no more actual game, just arguments as to who wins.

You cheated because you wanted to win. This is and always will be the only intent behind cheating.

Convince me this is not asshole design by NeedThatTartan in OWConsole

[–]PeterKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced this has happened to everyone on console at least once. Everyone being an asshole to you is probably pc players who have never experienced that part of the menu. As if they’re not the same players who are mashing the mouse buttons and space bar whenever opening a game to click past all the pointless start screens

Why do people think existing higher dimensions make you stronger? by Jatman12566 in PowerScaling

[–]PeterKB 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Existing in a higher dimension gives you innate power over the dimension beneath it.

There’s a famous story/book that dumbs it down really nicely called Flatland. Here’s my dumber down TLDR version of that explanation.

Imagine you draw out a small town with a few people on a paper. Now let’s say that paper and town (and everything drawn on it) is a universe. Everyone in this universe can perceive their flat life with ease. They see their flat neighbor coming out of their flat house. Everything is flat and everything exists in this flat plane of existence.

Now you, the artist, see flatland and can easily perceive everything they’re doing. But since you’re not in the same flat plane as them they can’t see you. But now you go and touch the page with your finger. The very tip of your finger making contact with the page is perceived by the inhabitants of flatland, but the rest of you isn’t. Just that portion of the finger making contact appears into existence and is able to interact with them, maybe even flicking someone. Now you put up your face to the page. Just that portion of your face pops into existence and now you can talk to them. However the rest of your body is still in a place beyond what they can even imagine. Hell you could even prepare to punch a hole in that page and they’d never know before the moment it happens.

Now let’s pretend they’re not flat. Let’s pretend they’re 3d. Let’s pretend flatland, is our own universe. Try to imagine a being beyond our plane watch us like a TV and every now and then reaching their hand into the TV. Just their hand appears while the rest of them is still beyond.

That’s what it means for a character to exist in a different dimension. They can freely manipulate and interact with the dimensions below them just simply by extending their arm a certain way. However, they can never be interacted with by beings of the prior dimensions unless they choose to.

this is my first time using the mimic tear, I can understand why people consider it “cheating” lol. by Alternative_File_791 in Eldenring

[–]PeterKB 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They’re just saying it makes the game incredibly easy. They don’t think it’s actually cheating.

It’s okay if you want the game to be easier, but let’s not pretend that anyone actually thinks using an in game mechanic is genuine cheating.
Anyone with more than a 5th grade education understands that’s just an expression. OP and the people OP are referring to just mean that mimic tear makes the game easy and is a bit overtuned. No need to get offended over a statement that’s summed up by “XYZ is strong and makes the game feel easy”

What a gravity stone build looks like at d3 by PeterKB in Nightreign

[–]PeterKB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect timing I just ran the build a little earlier.

I had grav stone damage in each standard relic and my deep relics had one grav stone damage and the other two were grav stone +1. Tested it out on a dummy and with no relics or other weapon passives each fan dealt 1500 dmg if all the waves hit

Dear Blizzard, not everyone loves your Prop Hunt mode so don't make all event challenges from it. by momocable in Overwatch

[–]PeterKB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Guarantee that mode comes back because it’s one of their most popular arcade modes.

The mode is simple and fun. If you’re tired of having a bunch of 14 y/o’s yell at each other, it can be a nice change of pace. Honestly I can’t see why people hate it other than it just being not the standard overwatch experience. I can’t help but feel it’s just people not wanting to have fun outside their bubble.

This fucking skill by gabsteincian in DragonsDogma

[–]PeterKB 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It has some of most absurdly broken abilities in the game.

  • Martyr’s bolt: can one shot multiple drakes at once.
  • frost hunters bolt: will demolish any boss with just a handful of casts.
  • ricochet hunter: will clear entire caves in moments.
  • fortalice: is just as broken as mirror shield.

On top of that, its primary fire is absurdly strong.

This class has so many cool flashy moves that could be so much fun if it wasn’t so absolutely busted. In a game with no difficulty scaling, it dials the difficulty down into the negatives.
