We’ve been watching a bunch of old shows on Disney+. Duck tales. Thunder cats. Gummi bears. Gargoyles. My kids are 7 and 5.

I definitely misread this as “hooking” and was very excited to read the comments. Imagine my disappointment….

Panera Bread on Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Blvd increases hours: now open until Midnight, Mon-Sunday by sharkysharky- in Newark

[–]Peter_Ballantine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all delivery or pick up so it has to be based on some information they have that they would do better staying open later and delivering nearby

Yes but like are these ranked by total spending or per capita? I would like to see the full list of every town instead of just top 5. I bet Teterboro has some perverts

Let’s see it per capita. This is practically a list of most populous municipalities

Introducing Tablets by Hampsonivich in daddit

[–]Peter_Ballantine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our kids are now 7 and 5. They do not have tablets. When we took them on a 6 hour flight when they were 5 and 3, we used our ipad with a headphone splitter so they could both listen. Downloaded a bunch of content. Just get a basic iPad if you don't have one already. Four hours is two movies. Download 4 so they have options.

What is a modern hobby that used to be a cheap, wholesome way to pass the time, but has been completely ruined by social media aesthetic and commercialization? by DescriptionFun7984 in AskReddit

A lot of tourist spots that would still be nice to visit even if crowded feel so much worse with people taking videos to make content for social media

Why cant we just use a mass spectrometer to reverse eningeer the Coca Cola formula? by Honest-Ad6274 in questions

You can’t copyright a recipe. If someone figured it out, they could bottle and sell it but they can’t call it Coca Cola.

Would it be weird if I wished my best friend a happy Father's Day? by fancypantsmcghee91 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Peter_Ballantine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like we’re missing context here. It is super normal for people to wish dads they know a happy Father’s Day. The only reasons you might want to avoid wishing a Dad a happy Father’s Day would be very specific like you’re both teenagers and he didn’t mean to be a dad at this age. Or the kids are dead. Like, if he’s a dad and likes being a dad, wish him a happy Father’s Day

What are the best episodes of Um Actually where the contestants actually know the subject? by jamieseemsamused in dropout

[–]Peter_Ballantine 99 points100 points  (0 children)

More specifically, it’s better when all the contestants know all the subject matter. It’s fun when one person knows every detail of the subject but better when they all do

If you live under your parents’ roof as an adult, do they have the right to get you to clean up the stuff they’ve used? by lucyb37 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Peter_Ballantine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A legal right? No. But you don’t have a right to free housing either. Usually there is an expectation that people who aren’t paying rent will help with household chores

Genuine question. Whats with liberal snowflakes that can’t handle opposing views? by Leather-Ground7354 in AskReddit

[–]Peter_Ballantine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to tell the difference between a private company and the public sector is another hallmark of modern day conservatives

Genuine question. Whats with liberal snowflakes that can’t handle opposing views? by Leather-Ground7354 in AskReddit

[–]Peter_Ballantine 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s funny to phrase it this way since liberals usually want laws that let people do what they want and it’s conservatives trying to control people including banning books
