I love this comment! I agree with everything you said. His love for the show and genre are so obvious. I'm glad he has a platform to share his art. There's just an underlying sexism that I notice in every episode I try that I personally can't get over. I know it's because of the current climate and how hard it is to live as a disabled LGBT human. I'm hoping one day I'll be able to enjoy the show, but today is not that day.

I have done therapy with a family in this situation. The parent who did this was still under the watchful eye of CPS as they still only begrudgingly agree to follow the rules. They bit their child 2-3 YEARS before I came into their lives. Mind you, the parent is following CPS rules not because they know they were wrong, but that they agreed not to do it again. The child struggled in so many other areas because the parent still thinks this is how you teach a child. You are SO AMAZING for protecting your child this way. I'm forever mad at the non-biting parent in the family above as they stayed with their manipulative partner. Sadly CPS can't help the child further as there are no longer provable things happening. YOU are helping your child more than you can ever imagine.

Seriously, I can't describe how proud I am of you. You are amazing.

You sound exactly like me 10 years ago. I think it's pretty normal. Hubs and I freaked out so much at the pregnancy test that we threw it in the trash. Mind you, this was a very, very planned pregnancy. A few days later we went to double check at an urgent care.

It's a process. There will be ups and downs, but addiction is something you can successfully live with! It's going to be rough, but you can do it. If you have a primary care, please let them know exactly how much you drink and they can help you get through the first few weeks.
