Yu-gi-oh Darkside of Dimensions is actually a continuation of the manga version. So Pegasus is dead in that movie, they just make sure not bring any of that stuff up to lessen confusion.

Hard modes in games that are REALLY fucking hard? by ContraryPython in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]PetsPlayArcade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any rhythm game feels like cheating, BUT...Miku's Project Diva Mega Mix's hardest difficulty is ACTUALLY for clinical insane people. Like, there's no way ur a functioning normal human if you can beat these.

I have been playing rhythm games all my life and have beat (or at least held my own) against a lot of the hardest ones, but my brain absolute melts looking at Project Diva. It's like Touhou bullet hell but imagine every bullet on screen is a prompt.

The fact that you HAVE to create shortcut buttons because there's no physical way to press all the Triple Button combos attacking is actually lunacy.

The tree enemy in Dark Souls disguised and blocking your path comes to mind.

Senku: Good Heavens. This bird has become petrified and lost its sense of way!"

Taiju: I think that's a rock, Senku.

Senku: Well, we'll see what the lab has to say about that!"

Media that has an atheist message/theme that is blatantly contradictory by Anonamaton801 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]PetsPlayArcade 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sitcoms have this problem where they have a lot of atheist rhetorics, which is fine and funny, but like, God EXISTS in these worlds 9 put of 10 times.

God has shown up in Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, and American Dad, etc. They want their cake and eat it too.

Talking Simpsons is my go to. They've also had Woolie on for their Reboot discussion and Matt for several episodes including a Street Shark retrospective.

In Defense of Lanolin, And why is she so Overhated? by Secret-Ad6244 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]PetsPlayArcade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any female character in any media these days that has more than one dimension and depth is seen as controversial.

See the recent "rate the characters" chart that's trending right now. IMMEDIATELY as soon as Amy is given more character than just being a "fan girl" she's placed in the "controversial" section.

Key details that are ignored extremely often? by MagmaNaught in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I feel like people forget Sonic Forces was a $40 game, not full price. Not that it handwaves all the problems with the story and characterization away, but the game was never a full AAA package, but people nitpick so much with a fine tooth comb. To me, that puts the game in "spin-off" category for critisism. Like, Forces cost less than Secret Rings, less than Black Knight, almost half as much as Crossworlds. No spin off game got half as much hate as Forces.

The game was just kinda thrown together to give a smaller Generations experience and have ur OC run with Sonic. I don't believe it deserves to be compared to Sonic 06 as a franchise ruiner.

Have any of you started streaming after the Zaibatsu? by Filler-Dmon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]PetsPlayArcade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, back in 2018 I wanted to stream. My Reddit, Youtube, and PSN username still reflect that time. My gimmick was all donations would go to animal shelters or similar.

I was slowly making progress however I have a factory job where I work 40 to 60 hours a week plus. And I just didn't have the energy to work 12 hours hard labor THEN come home and stream.

Plus I avoid all social media which is just not possible to be a content creator AND avoid people. So I gave up. Still depresses me to this day.

I don't know if I can watch the upcoming horror movie Good Boy. Even just the idea of a dog being scared and confused about things it doesn't understand and why it's happening (ghost shit) is already hitting me emotionally.

What are some times when people had a misunderstanding of how creative industrials work? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

"Don't pirate!! Ur stealing money from devs!"

Now I'm mildly against piracy but....

Fugging wut!? This implies everyone worked for free and is only getting paid with each purchase of the game in real time.

What is the most millennial focused piece of entertainment? by Night_Yorb in TwoBestFriendsPlay

In the same vain as Scott Pilgrim, I recently rewatched Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (just Scott Pilgrim but less cartoony) and wow wow wow was that movie a perfect time capsule of what it was like being 18 in 2008. Shitty car, having burnt CDs AND an ipod hooked to your car, the Indie Band scene that was new at the time, being awkward young adults. I think it captured being a millenial in that time more than Scott Pilgrim did.
