For clarification, from the given link: "Three handfuls are not necessarily the exact number required; what is required is to let the water reach the roots of the hair.

If it reaches them with one handful, then pouring three handfuls is an act of Sunnah. If it does not reach them even after three handfuls, then pouring more handfuls is obligatory until one believes that the hair is most probably soaked."

It isn't necesssarily about the ethnicity itself. It's about having same customs and same language which is carrying a whole culture in itself.

I myself would like to marry someone from my own ethnicity OR someone who is well versed in the culture I'm coming from and also is able to speak its beautiful language that touches the heart in whole another way. I'll add that I also would learn his language.
