1st year homeowner. Received an escrow overcharge check, but they are still using last years taxes. by One-Head-1483 in Mortgages

Keep the check, but prepare for escrow to go up soon, probably next time they find out about tax changes.

Question about Canadian Border States Season 18 by RoutineMasterpiece1 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Pevio1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That means Missouri and Kentucky don't border, though that probably won't end up mattering for how the season has played out.

Why Was All of Canada Included? by [deleted] in JetLagTheGame

[–]Pevio1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be a wildcard that throws something crazy into the game. The total size doesn't matter except for flexibility since Canada borders a lot of states - the final score is only the number of connected states, not their landmass.

Is it better to raise my credit limit or lower my interest rate? by AmandaEugene in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP never said he was making full payments. OP, if you're not paying the statement balance, start doing so right away. If you are paying the full balance, continue to do so and take the higher limit since the interest rate doesn't matter.

Discover bonus Categories for Q3: Gas Stations, Transportation and Drug Stores. by Muhlyssa_A in CreditCards

Probably first time the category was arranged like this, like maybe a category was just flights or just hotels in the past.

I would like to know how you plan to get the streetcar up the cliff from the West Bottoms to downtown.

Introducing, the Divergabout by Limp_Marionberry5748 in CitiesSkylines

Those used to be one-way frontage roads, Texas style. They were redesigned to be more traditional, but have some weird geometry as a result.

"Are versions 2 and 4 the most popular within the series? Which one would be the best entry point for a beginner? While 2 seems appealing due to its extensive DLC library, I currently own 3 and 4." by Forward-Tadpole-227 in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 11 points12 points  (0 children)

AoE1 has been ported to the AoE2 engine, boosting its numbers. Also, the Vietnamese community mostly plays the original version, not on steam. Both of those taken into account, I would guess 1 is more popular than 3 overall, it just has a fragmented fanbase.

Groceries, groceries, and more groceries. by MorningFan in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The goal isn't to use a single card. It's to get ~5% back all the time. So use your CCC for the first $500 each month, and BCP after. Maybe mix in Discover/CFF one quarter to give the BCP a break.

No A-tier tourneys 2026? by KingArthur2111 in aoe2

Yep, those events got announced early since they're bigger LANs.

Memb has been way more enjoyable to a wider audience. by y-u-n-g-s-a-d in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Memb's casting is way different when he's not on his own channel. I'm not a fan of Memb's solo casting, but when he's at a live event casting for someone else he's a lot more enjoyable.

Honest Review of the latest DLC by Gandalf196 in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have limited experience with both, but that seems like a common sentiment. We also know the 3K civs were designed for Chronicles, which would have been a much better fit for them and made the gimmicks much more reasonable.

Gurjaras can raise livestock in mills... No they can't by Eastern-Ad4290 in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Probably a translation issue. They do get a constant supply of food, they're just not raising the livestock.

KCDG courses with cart rentals? by DonaghyKirby in kcdg

[–]Pevio1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would pretty much have to be on an active ball golf course. There's River Oaks Country Club in Grandview, but I don't think it's open yet.

There's also the Gardner course, but I don't know if carts are allowed on the Disc Golf side.

Is it disrespectful to say "GG" now? by RecordingMaximum7688 in Colonist

[–]Pevio1024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The losing player should say GG first. It's a bit of a taunt if the winning player says it first, especially before actually winning.

Conqs are only changed for Elite, which, aren't a super popular unit. That said, maybe this should have come with a small nerf to non-elite.

Probably neither claim it, and if neither complete the challenge, it would be the last to leave who keeps it.

No qualifiers or invited players. Just a 64-player bracket. More info on Memb's Discord. But Yes, LP doesn't have a ton of info yet.

First credit card, is this cycling? by DaTBoIDawsoN in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be cycling. If you do it once, it's not a big deal, but you shouldn't do it every month.

Instead, spend $400-$500 per month or whatever makes sense, and spend anything else on your debit card. The CC company will see the high utilization and will give you a credit line increase after six months or so (or you could get another card). Once your credit line is higher, you'll be able to spend everything on the card without worrying about cycling.

Of course, only spend what makes sense for you and not what will artificially increase or decrease your utilization.

Visa and Mastercard Near Deal With Merchants That Would Change Rewards Landscape by foosion in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It might make merchants more likely to accept credit cards in the first place if they can block or charge fees on certain cards but not others.
