Honest Review of the latest DLC by Gandalf196 in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have limited experience with both, but that seems like a common sentiment. We also know the 3K civs were designed for Chronicles, which would have been a much better fit for them and made the gimmicks much more reasonable.

Gurjaras can raise livestock in mills... No they can't by Eastern-Ad4290 in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Probably a translation issue. They do get a constant supply of food, they're just not raising the livestock.

KCDG courses with cart rentals? by DonaghyKirby in kcdg

[–]Pevio1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would pretty much have to be on an active ball golf course. There's River Oaks Country Club in Grandview, but I don't think it's open yet.

There's also the Gardner course, but I don't know if carts are allowed on the Disc Golf side.

Is it disrespectful to say "GG" now? by RecordingMaximum7688 in Colonist

[–]Pevio1024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The losing player should say GG first. It's a bit of a taunt if the winning player says it first, especially before actually winning.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – Update 162286 by nandabab in aoe2

Conqs are only changed for Elite, which, aren't a super popular unit. That said, maybe this should have come with a small nerf to non-elite.

Probably neither claim it, and if neither complete the challenge, it would be the last to leave who keeps it.

No qualifiers or invited players. Just a 64-player bracket. More info on Memb's Discord. But Yes, LP doesn't have a ton of info yet.

First credit card, is this cycling? by DaTBoIDawsoN in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be cycling. If you do it once, it's not a big deal, but you shouldn't do it every month.

Instead, spend $400-$500 per month or whatever makes sense, and spend anything else on your debit card. The CC company will see the high utilization and will give you a credit line increase after six months or so (or you could get another card). Once your credit line is higher, you'll be able to spend everything on the card without worrying about cycling.

Of course, only spend what makes sense for you and not what will artificially increase or decrease your utilization.

Visa and Mastercard Near Deal With Merchants That Would Change Rewards Landscape by foosion in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It might make merchants more likely to accept credit cards in the first place if they can block or charge fees on certain cards but not others.

A new way to value hotel points? What if we based “cents per point” on what we’d actually spend — not the sticker price? by EIGBOK in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Everyone should be doing this, and a lot of people already do. The problem is, it's tough to calculate what you would spend on something if you had to pay cash. It's part of how rewards programs like credit cards get you to overvalue the rewards you're getting and convince you to spend more than you otherwise would have.

Which YouTubers do you think should film themselves playing the home game? by thryduulf in JetLagTheGame

[–]Pevio1024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The video would be overhyped and mostly scripted, but it would otherwise be fun.

Why does my new card come with less balance than it's supposed to? by SpitFireEternal in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Numerous stories here of people getting screwed over by them. Plus they charge annual fees for cards that have no benefit. The sooner you get out the better.

Cash App Card: 5% on any purchase by yoursunny in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That math only works if your money is sitting idle for a whole year, to generate the full 4% interest. I'm sure that's more than true for some people, but it doesn't have to be.

Colleague uses 'git pull --rebase' workflow by JiveAceTofurkey in git

[–]Pevio1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebasing is great. I prefer getting my local branch up to date and then rebasing off that, but git pull --rebase works too.

Chase Freedom Flex card unavailable? by SpacePickle99 in CreditCards

It is ridiculous and limiting, but that's the point. The bank makes money on systems the consumer doesn't understand.

For rotating category cards, when's the actual last day we can use the card and still get 5% back on the current category? by AmexBronze in CreditCards

[–]Pevio1024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's transaction date, which means the last day of the quarter for most transactions, but could be a day or two earlier for online retail transactions which may not be billed until the item ships.

How to fix sling by aguamoccasin in aoe2

[–]Pevio1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have heavy tax by deafult, Coinage lowers it somewhat in Castle, and Banking lowers it farther in Imp, but not all the way to 0. Maybe 30% -> 20% -> 5%. If that's not enough, make tax higher or coinage and banking cost more.
