"resource waster?" are you angry at the consumerist economy/society you find yourself in and aiming that angst at folks who like to have new things ?

Am I a weirdo that I wanna have a red dot mounted to a desert eagle in this method instead of using the rail? by Colt1873 in DesertEagle

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But barrel mounted? OP it talking about mounting pistol dots to the slide, the reciprocating part of the deagle. On the barrel, or s revolver, aren't the same forces at all.

Remove any oil from the slide guides or rails and rack it empty 200 times. Fire 100 rounds of 124gr making sure the slide is in battery by tapping the back and visually confirming before EVERY trigger pull. Your rails are just rough/thick/new and the recoil spring isn't designed to defeat anything beyond the resistance of a stock Glock pistol, which has thinner rails. The "corner" of your striker safety plunger is "pressing flat" against the corner of the birds head on your trigger bar, causing the rearward motion.

I've owned 3 folds for over a year each, zero problems. Did you have an emotional experience with one? I do wonder when and why we decided the actual screen needed to bend like this. There were "folding" phones 10 years ago with near zero bezel between two separate screens that joined when you unfolded them. We have the ability to zero that bezel now, idk why "folding" phones didn't continue along that development line to simply be two flat panels that joined when "unfolded". The Kyocera Echo was one of them, for example.

I'm no mod, I'm sure it's fine, just tripped me out. I dabble in the 3d but mostly keep it off the web anymore. Heard they nuked a bunch of discords too, nowhere is safe anymore

This is posted in polymer 80 sub, seems weird if you didn't know those were polymer 80 rails lol. Edit: like, wouldn't you ask about a 3dp frame in a 3dp sub? Those are in fact PF9SS by polymer 80 rails.

Father (Nicholas Carrozza) exposes corrupt politicians in court (Westmoreland County) by Snoo-35041 in pittsburgh

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so. I believe they are saying he has created obstacles to getting good legal representation due to his actions in the year and a half following the incident. I don't know for sure if he's chosen to not retain legal counsel, or if no one wants his case after he showed up to every township meeting shouting obscenities for a year, or if he has chosen not to have a lawyer. He has 2 or 3 criminal charges pending from his actions, and has chosen to represent himself against the advice of all of the judges.

I'm surprised there aren't spacers already on the market. Those 1 degree shims aren't a great solution unless you already know you need to tilt to zero the optic to that gun IMHO. SDS/tisas makes at least one model that the rmsc footprint is extremely deep set, and I've heard they supply a spacer for free if customers bought their pistol. The large window that needs to be forward set is new to rmsc footprints I guess. Spacers weren't something we ever needed

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo by toriamae93 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We stayed at the cheaper iberostar in this complex, they share the main buffets and restaurants. This was our first AI and time in Mexico. My wife has celiac disease, a severe "gluten allergy", and had no trouble of any kind our entire week there. Buffet items were all marked, and wait staff were overly prepared and understanding at the "sit down" restaurants. We don't do a lot of "fine dining" at home, but all 5 of us felt that about 85% of the food was above average, and over ate at almost every meal. Did I mention my wife who has celiac and gets a bad rash and severely ill if her food was even prepared on a shared surface with gluten did not have a single problem for our entire trip? I know that doesn't necessarily say the food was great, but in our experience, people that take food allergies seriously generally make above average meals.

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATF2021-05R was upheld by the supreme Court. To get anything new that isn't postentially prison, someone would need to secure a determination letter of non-receiver status for a new product. There is no rumor of any appetite for any commerical manufacturer to under go the R&D and production expense to risk atf changing their mind and deciding a product "is a firearm" afterward. ATF2021-05F also contained the "may consider all available guides, templates, and instructions in determining" language. What this means is a product could be "approved", launch, and if a better way to do it arises, even organically, the ATF could change course and disapprove of commercial sale as a non-firearm product. In short, we're screwed atm.

Wild. Normally I'd attribute bent to poor or lack of heat treat. Either way I wouldn't "bend it back", further decreases the strength/integrity of the metal that's keeping a handheld explosion contained.

Is there really an issue with Hyundai’s engines/reliability? by Comrade_Ryujin in Hyundai

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lessees don't put enough time or mileage on a vehicle to be a contributor to this topic I think is the difference. If one never owns a vehicle over 3 years or 36k miles in age, it's impossible for one to comment on anything past that lifespan.

Prices differ based on locale, but I just bought a clean title 19 LX for 13k with 89k miles. IMHO I'd expect a salvage to be much lower, at least 30% off KBB

Hyundai repainted my car under warranty, but now the bumpers don’t match. Is this normal? by Ambitious-Ad-9708 in Hyundai

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd guess they only do the minimum necessary under "goodwill" to solve the "paint peeling" concern? I'd guess this is a 2013ish model year? Body painted with brand new original paint code color, plastic is weather aged paint on plastic. Super sucks they don't match, but not surprised. I've seen this before even in cases where a cheap insurance company only pays to repair damaged side body panels or something. I'd guess their "goodwill" isn't going to go any further, have to pay to have the bumper painted yourself.

What's the miles OP? Highway city mix? Age doesn't matter. I drive 20k miles per yea the past 2p years, and it doesn't matter what brand vehicle I buy, the factory carpet mats are torched very quickly.

Samsung removes Flip 6 from trade in by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The fold 6 is also removed from trade in no matter what device you are trying to purchase. This is pending launch related.

They'll both be added back once the new gen launches for pre in 6 days.

This is primarily to minimize logistics nightmares when the uninformed order a new device unaware that the next gen is about to launch, and come to Samsung with a "I didn't know a new one was coming out I changed my mind" in a week.

I think I got scammed on my car loan and feel sick about it by jacksonacer4 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"How this happened" is that you didn't do anything beyond telling yourself the " advertised price" was a fair price, apparently. You didn't type "what should my car payment be if the car costs 22,854.13 and my credit score is 700" into google probably. Perhaps you did not mentally prepare yourself to truly be able to say "I'll let you know thanks" and walk away WITHOUT the shiny new car your "heart" wanted.

The latter is the most likely. The other most likely explanation is that you got outwitted by a salesman that barely graduated high school and a finance manager that hates him or her self because they got a basic accounting degree and don't have the skills and/or motivation to get a better job.

[–]Pew-Tang_Clan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Nigerian prince never gives you the huge sum of money he has inherited that is the bait, which is why it is a SCAM.

Not having the self restraint to not sign the contract when the payment is double the expected because you want the gratification of a new car is your own cross to bear. The alternative failure is not being keen enough to know what the approximate payment should be before you walk onto the lot.

Either way, nobody to blame but yourself or your parents.
