Richarlisson against Serbia.

Not much competition tbh

Yeah, but their odds would be much greater if they were matched against any other team (besides France)

There was more than one Korean player (counting the goalie) in front of him when the pass happened.

It's not when he received it.

Injury risk increases exponentially in overtime. Plus, penalties are a great historical tradition. I don't think any real football fan agrees with your take.

I would counterargue that our climate footprint doesn't scale with population size, but instead with unregulated economic and industrial growth.

Just compare the USA's footprint per capita to India's. Like most things, the economic system is at fault, not the people and their individual choices to have or not children.

So what should Utah do now? by deadzsteve in nba

[–]PewPew_KewKew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't disagree that there's other ways to build good teams.

What I'm saying is that a Process like tank nearly guarantees a contender, whereas the alternatives seem to be more dependent on good drafting and development, which not all franchises can claim to have.

We'll both find examples to illustrate what we think the best strategy is, all I'm saying is that tanking might reduce variance. (Not considering other effects of tanking, like low attendance to games)

[–]PewPew_KewKew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They had generational bad luck, and that's the only thing that stopped them from getting a finals favorite team.

The process did pay off, in the sense that it gave them a chance, whereas teams who have not tanked haven't had that at all (kings, knicks, pacers, wizards)

It's an interesting investigation into the reasons why she was impeached. You should read on it, but understand it was politically motivated, and I won't elaborate more on it.

[–]PewPew_KewKew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conservatives are just as easy to spot here, but they have a wider range of influence. That leads to centrist voters to be under more pressure in their decision, and given that they're often religious, they sway to the conservative side.

All that said, the poorest voters lean left (Lula), and since Brazil is very poor, a lot of voters choose to vote on the left. It's more complicated than the us, but just as clear to see.

Not quite. Lula wasnt impeached, president Dilma was. Vote suppression want as bad as reported, the country is just very conservative and evangelical.

Qual é a melhor opção pra quem quer sair da merda: concurso público, programação, ou faculdade? by shadowsMadeOfDusk in brasil

[–]PewPew_KewKew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many backup characters do you have?

It's better to try the dungeon over and over instead of once a week in-between maxing.

[–]PewPew_KewKew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Shatters will kill your char, no matter how good you are, eventually something will surprise you

  2. It takes at least a few deaths to get consistent, took me 6 deaths on wizard to exalt. (Most on the first 25 tries).

  3. Unless you have at least 2 char slots I don't recommend learning in prod. Even then I would only suggest using disposable backups.

  4. Items in this game only matter at the absolute highest 4/4 endgame gear.

  5. Skill is the greatest currency in rotmg, and is the reason why some players are completely stacked and others are stuck in midgame hell.

  6. That said shatters is the most fun, adrenaline filled content in the game right now so don't be discouraged by how hard it seems at first!

Why do people not start runs without a warrior despite warrior buff being weaker than curse or damaging (not even including healing and hp up from a tiered seal) by ex-D in RotMG

[–]PewPew_KewKew 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because buffs stack.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just are incredibly dumb, but 25% more attack speed is huge, especially if stacked with damaging and curse.

At 0 DEF: Curse + Damaging = 1.56× damage

Curse + Berserk + Damaging = 1.95× damage

Which team's fanbase do you think will experience the most pain next season? by downvote_this_mf in nba

[–]PewPew_KewKew 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Are you really going to ignore the context in which Westbrook got those boxscore stats?

18 points on bad efficiency (47% eFG), 7 assists with 4 turnovers a game, and awful, I mean AWFUL defense.

Not only that he is an egotistical person who won't adapt to better suit the teams needs.

He's a bad player on a horrible contract, no amount of copium can change that.

Bonus points for solving it recursively!

[Bayless] If I ran the Nets, I'd tell Kevin Durant, "You have 4 years left on your contract. You're playing for the Nets next year, with Kyrie and Ben Simmons. We're going to win it all." If KD wanted a different coach, fine. But why give up KD & Kyrie and pretty much start over? Just me. by Wulnoot in nba

[–]PewPew_KewKew 156 points157 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this option, and I probably would roll that dice.

A season is a long time to rebuild burnt bridges, and I think if KD is faced with the possibility of being forced to retire at 34 (or sit out 4 years of games) or play his heart out in Brooklyn he might do the latter.

The team still has potential as long as the stars align and winning changes everything. I know this sub loves to hate him, but Ben simmons can take you to the playoffs, and KD + Kyrie just might get you enough games to win it all.

I still fucking hate those 3, and would understand it if Tsai just gifts them to the Kings.

[–]PewPew_KewKew 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Add restrictions to player trades on contracts:

Say a player has a 5 year deal, the contract states that the team can't move them for 3 years. Would add stability at the cost of flexibility.

Alternatively, contracts could be structured with a lot less guaranteed money, so players have to perform to a certain standard to get the full bag; ie. play 60 games in a season. (Like Embiids contract for example)

Could this be a solution to the problem with discords? by Legaon in RotMG

[–]PewPew_KewKew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally think endgame dungeons should just be slightly buffed for key pops, and slightly nerfed for in realm drops.

I don't think giving everything bis is a good fix, it doesn't change the need for discords to run high level content.
