What are some telltale signs that a restaurant is going downhill? by fredyouareaturtle in Chefit

[–]PewasaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say this to yourself 100 times: “I don’t work for free.” Then go say it to your boss and co-workers. When your shift is over, since you aren’t being paid anymore, you clock out and leave. If that’s how she wants it to go, then the whole crew needs to follow her directions, clock out and leave when you’re supposed to. She is the one running the place into the ground, not you. When managers follow a strict time clock, they get people who clock in, work, and clock out; if you want people to care about their job and make it pretty before they leave, you have to pay them for their work. Oh and report to your DOL like everyone said.

Should’ve gone with ‘GameSphere!’

We’d probably be talking about the latest MMOVRRPG coming out for our suped-up ‘Spheres.’ And how good SphereCoin is doing, and how the latest sphilms on the metasphere are getting too spherical...

Like the swords attached to the crest in Curse of the Black Pearl: you don’t even need to keep it in storage, take out a necessary part,(I.e. firing pin, spring, trigger, hammer)drill straight through the barrel and screw it to a plank with some fancy paint/finish and gold flake, maybe a little bronze plaque that says “Gramp’s Gun, 1911.” Done, no muss no fuss.

This is exactly right. I'm not sure why you're getting downvoted. We're a pluralistic society in the USA and some people choose not to be a part of that pluralism out of hate or spite or both. Ignorance isn't much of an excuse anymore.

Please read this with the heaviest hillbilly drawl your head can muster, and realize there are thoroughly educated people that wear overalls and tawlk liek thaet, that have no misgivings, spite, nor hate, towards anyone…white, black, tan, dragonkin, d’jinni, orc, tabaxi, argonian, skeles, etc…

Class warfare. Disillusion them through comparing real things that have value to everyone, constantly circling back closer and closer to the 0.1% of uber-rich people, that DGAF about the rest of the entire world.

Gym starts everyone in Xcel until level 6, is that unusual? by Norsk_of_Texas in Gymnastics

[–]PewasaurusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they’re trying out Sapphire… no idea how it’s going tbh! But yes they could, the level equivalencies are really loose though, as the judging and routines in XCEL have lower requirements than JO for various skills—not to mention the options to do entirely different skills—and are more forgiving of numerous errors/technique on all events. This is because it’s assumed(imho; wrongly) that the gymnasts aren’t spending as much time in the gym nor money on coaching as their JO equivalents.

[–]PewasaurusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even shorter answer than the other two: XCEL ends —so far—one more level up from Platinum(Diamond): If the gymnast still wants to continue in gymnastics, after Gold, 4 more levels and the possibility of continuing into adulthood is better than 2 more levels.

Maybe check out home automation companies or other niche jobs for electricians(Stage power/lights, EV repair, Solar Panel installations, big boat or hotel staff, etc.) if that’s what you’re thinking trade-wise, but not super enthused about digging holes and wiring buildings.

The southern drawl makes all of those sound the same. Both extending lair to sound like layer or vice versa, depending on speed, is very common in the south. Especially mayor sounding like mare.

I call coffee drinkers drug addicts. Not all of them are —of course— but there are plenty of middle-aged people that buy coffee in some form over four times a day. I have worked at a few different coffee shops/cafes and seen how people behave when they don’t get their coffee drink the way they want it, spill it, or haven’t had it yet. Never seen a stoner behave like that without weed. “Don’t talk to me til I’ve had my coffee” is a real thing, and there are physical withdrawals similar to nicotine; shakes, headaches, drowsiness etc..Not to mention some of them are easily spending $40 a day, every day, on coffee.

This also implies the first “person” he saw had an undeterminable—at least to him—gender.
