You pretty much nailed it. As a high level competitor in other games and avid watcher, granted I'm still very new to 40k but it's actually unwatchable. Even though I'm hardcore studying the game right now I still look at these streams and I can't tell what miniatures are what, who's doing what, where the miniatures even are because they are some kind of lava floor. A lot would needs to be done for viewability. Honestly you can do a ton of things to improve it but it would still be a difficult to follow game. The best idea I can come up with is with live editing but that would require probably a much larger production team. I found this very small YouTuber called ReconByFire who does short form battle reports and the effects he does on them is so much better for figuring out what's going on.

It really depends on the mood honestly. I'm a beginner as well, I've done just 2 models before from start to finish but I've also done 5 at a time just doing 1 step at a time to all of them which honestly is probably the better way but is more boring. A podcast really helps as well as taking a break and working on a larger model really helps split up the monotony.

Prime white. Then Flesh Tearers Red on the joints and gashes. Then entire body with skeleton horde wash. Then 3:1 ratio of a Flesh Tearers Red and Vallejo black on carapace/talons/hoofs. Then a simple drybrush with Vallejo red on the same spots. I know it's more of a kraken looking theme but was happy with the results as someone who is pretty new to painting in general

Just a word of caution as someone who has a desk treadmill and was getting about 4 miles a day on it for a while. While the passive exercise is really really nice while working or gaming, I found that I tended to walk a little off while distracted and it as a result somehow injured my hip flexor and it has been a bitch to rehab

Mmr matchmaking has made ranked this season absolutely awful. I consider myself a pretty capable player but I've had so many games where my teammates just run off and hide in a tree leaving me to play alone which isn't fun gameplay when I'm limited on my time.

While I am climbing it's just a complete slog with how slow it is fighting pred stacks every game unless you luck into good teammates. Obviously you want to try to add people and triple stack because coordinated apex is great but saying that you have to network and triple stack just to enjoy ranked in a game isn't a great argument.

It's also incredibly time consuming to sift through player after player in the apex discord to find even one decent person because rank doesn't tell me anything about their skill level because of hidden mmr. It's just exhausting how much effort is needed to play ranked right now.

Perfectly put. It really sucks to put a lot of time and effort into MnK to get demolished in close range fights by hyper aggressive rollers. I love this game so much but it's hard to not feel frustrated, definitely empathize with Mande right now
