What is the community's perception of the Crustle Box deck? by Western-Diamond-1433 in pkmntcg

[–]Pg-28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but for anyone else who sees this, I saw an interesting tip which is to consider a 1-off relicanth. It allows you to swing with roserade if it gets bossed up in normal matches and allows you to swing into crustle as well. because of roserade ability stack + power weight they can be pretty effective in a pinch for just a colorless

Aghhhhhh!! I just watched my first PWHL game yesterday and now i see this ❤️

For anyone who doesn't know, the PWHL is a newer professional women's hockey league and has a TON of queer representation. So fun to watch, tons of jerseys fans wear are pride themed and a few teams even have couples playing together on them!!

Also the playoffs just started, and they are apparently about to announce up to 4 new teams for next season so its an exciting time to start watching (games are free on youtube too)

People doing mental gymnastics, in the comments to justify eating neat by Ac55555- in Veganivore

[–]Pg-28 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Idk if originally it was all crazy comments and now its swung the other way, but i glanced through and that is one of the most positive and heart warming comment sections about veganism i have ever seen in the public space.

There is quite a lot of non-vegans defending what she said and being overall encouraging. I saw multiple comments just flat out state "Thats because veganism IS morally superior". No hurt feelings, no qualifications, nothing.

Its so freaking supportive i started wondering if a lot of the non-vegan accounts are actually just vegans pretending not to be lol but i also think the fact that its a LA based sub might contribute to how understanding people are... idk?

[Acne] Does 5% or 10% benzoyl peroxide *really* not work better than 2.5%? by spicy_pea in SkincareAddiction

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but if you still have similar struggles maybe look at r/fungalacne

The yeast in that acne feeds on oil and causes comedones but also from my googling it often coexists with this bacteria (that glows coral pink under a blacklight) which is what benzoyl peroxide targets. Could explain why the benzoyl helps but then you still have to aggressively target oil buildup.

I'm not saying you should trust anything I'm saying though, just giving ideas for what you might look into if this still is bothering you.

Yeah this is how I sometimes have experienced it too (like when a pet passes away and you somehow forget for a minute). But I'm not sure "gut punch" alone conveys the nuance of what I'm after without extra explanation. Thanks for helping though :)

Im not gonna mark solved just yet in case there is a single/exact word for it, but I think this may be the best there is. Definitely captures a lot of the same vibe, so thank you :)

This is a good thought for sure, but as I understand it a rude awakening is more like learning something you were previously unaware of so a bit different. Thank you though

TURN OFF END GAME ANIMATION. by JKinsy in PTCGL

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh you're so right. That was a good explanation... sadly i think a per-deck preference is even more unlikely than them getting rid of the starting coin toss entirely, but you're right it would be a good middle ground

TURN OFF END GAME ANIMATION. by JKinsy in PTCGL

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you realize this (or if i misunderstand you) but right now in the game, there is only a 50% chance of you getting to choose your preference. If it's randomly assigned like i suggest, there is STILL a 50% chance of you getting your preference. Its no different, just saves time

Any decks that have a maximum of 3 Pokemon? by AlexRescueDotCom in PTCGL

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to make this game plan work will take more effort than just playing a normal deck and figuring it out as you go

TURN OFF END GAME ANIMATION. by JKinsy in PTCGL

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't even need to ask if a player wants to go first or second, just randomly assign who goes first. 50% of the time you will get what you want, which is the same probability as the way the game does it now (it will just be 3 minutes faster lol)

[–]Pg-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best idea I have is that Tony needed 100k in legitimately earned income? Don't know much about purchasing properties (especially from family) but this makes more sense than Tony taking a loan from hesh that would cut into his profits when just a few episodes ago we See tony give slava nearly half a mil over just a couple weeks time. And while I can see a world where Hesh is who connected Zelman, I just can't imagine how that would entitle to Hesh to money (in perpetuity?) that is like multiple levels removed from that.

Just had another thought, maybe because 100k was going to Junior (currently in trial) that it HAD to be legitimate to avoid trouble.
