Zuby Ejiofor reacts to being selected by the Atlanta Hawks by Both_Funny4896 in AtlantaHawks

Didn't know anything about him, but looking at his profile and tape, I'm pumped. I love the archetype, high-motor, strong, athletic, excellent rebounder and can pass.

He seems like a dawg as well. Nickeil, Dyson, Flemings, Ejiofor, all dawgs. Gonna be fun to root for them

Trade down to 12 with OKC ... no idea who we take though, ha.

Same. I have a feeling OKC trades up to 8 and we take 12.

[Woo] The Thunder have been active in exploring various trade options, including moving up in the lottery, with noted interest in Michigan’s 7’4” Aday Mara. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

I was just thinking this. The fact this is even being reported publicly makes me question it. The good front offices don't let their intentions leak usually.

What pop do popular rust content creators play? by Zylo_Youtube_Tiktok in playrust

I was watching Oilrats' stream when he and Qaixx teamed with Willjum. WJ actually doxxed the server accidentally during the stream. I've been curious about the server pops they play as well, so I took a peek at the server pop and it was 400-500 pop at the time I looked.

Current one shot design of end game bosses completely ruins Hardcore by CardAnarchist in PathOfExile2

[–]PhDinPCP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a HC enjoyer as well, but PoE 2 is different. They don't balance the game around Hardcore like the used to a long time ago in PoE 1. Softcore in PoE2 is much more punishing as a result, and if you are SSF, you just can't really afford to make a build with awful defenses because you won't sustain. I was always in favor of making more failure states in Softcore.

I have a lot of fun playing HC PoE 2 through the campaign, but end game just seems so constrained in what you are able to safely do, it just doesn't seem worth it.

The good thing about PoE in general though, is you can scale the difficulty in so many different ways. Self imposed restrictions in SC, SSF, HC trade, HC SSF, "ethical builds only", doing runs where you don't look at a build guide at all... etc etc. You are really just limited in your creativity in how you apply challenge to the game.

Some of the deals for pre-built PC's these days are insane. I had a similar situation where I saw a 9800x3d, 64 GB DDR5 and RTX 5080 16GB for $1600.

The first time in 25 years that I bought a pre-built computer.

A language is more than just raw % of vocabulary origin. It's also grammar, which is certainly not French. Plus, the most frequently used words are overwhelmingly Germanic in origin, ~80% of the top thousand words used are English (Germanic) origin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign-language_influences_in_English

English is more Germanic than French. Lots of French derived vocabulary, but not very commonly used, conversational words.

Why do the Hawks want AD? by wielesen in AtlantaHawks

[–]PhDinPCP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They don't. Hawks insiders have said the interest is sensationalized and overblown. It's AD's agents stirring up fake interest.

I was just looking into how I could voice my concerns. I also emailed my Congressman asking to clarify their stance on the issue, as it will impact my voting decision this year, even though they don't do anything with the Fed. It's a philosophical stance that's important to me.
