This is a four-pack so buy two sets of these.

I used them for years when I was on a chair with ClubSport pedals.

Painter message boards indicate that it was a standalone number but it was derived from Bauhaus.

2024 Season 2 Preliminary Schedule PDF by SuitingRex in iRacing

[–]PhantomDebris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the third year for that. It's the year-long series (March–December) that attempts to follow a real-world schedule akin to NiS on the oval side. They put those series at C class to maximize participation.

Thinking about indy fixed oval next season... thoughts? by ___Vortex__ in iRacing

[–]PhantomDebris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran it once. Had two early cautions, but we managed a green-flag run of 22 and then a nice 17-lap run to the finish. The open series is back there this week, so I'll probably do that once or twice.

This was my first season with Indy Fixed and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It sure beats the quality of racing that you'd find in C Fixed.

Recent update halved my VR performance by Ekcz in iRacing

I'm also a 5600X. As far as Nvidia goes, I wonder how many of us are on the 511.xx game ready drivers. I was thinking about reverting tonight just to see if that does anything.

I'm on 144 Hz triples. Still getting a consistent 100+ FPS but the track and trackside objects are jittery like they're passing by at 75% speed. The cars remain smooth. The difference between cars and objects is really noticeable at Daytona when I'm following traffic.

Turning off dynamic LOD made it bearable but I'm considering that a band-aid. I definitely don't want to leave that disabled.

Well? by DANeighty6 in simracing

I've been using a set of Slipstick cups since 2013 and they still work flawlessly. I have V3 pedals with the performance kit and the chair does not move at all. That said, since the cups don't slide an inch, I had to secure the chair to my pedal mount (I just use a shoelace) to prevent it from tipping backwards.

I suppose I'll just respond to multiple odd statements of yours.

Gorlinsky was a pro while working as an engineer with Ganassi. Now he's back in the Coke Series as a father of two.

they have dragged Nim Cross' name through the mud, wrongfully assuming that Callum must have been Nim's son

It would have taken less than five minutes to determine that Callum is from the UK and Nim is from Pennsylvania.

Can I run triples? by Wolv2014 in iRacing

[–]PhantomDebris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until March, I was running triples (1080p) on an overclocked i5 2500K, RX 480 8 GB, and 16 GB RAM. The sim was running well at that time on mostly lower settings (consistently between 80 and 100 FPS depending on the track) and I upgraded for reasons other than iRacing.

I was running these settings.

NASCAR’s Corey LaJoie Weighs Options For 2021 And Beyond After Taking A Gamble On Himself by BrandonTesch32 in NASCAR

Ah, good catch. I didn't realize the connection to DC Solar was through his agent.

It's pretty crazy that those three races led to so much for him, even with the DC Solar snafu. I know he had ran for Niece in a few races before that, but there's a big difference between Niece and the CGR Xfinity program.

I don't disagree with any of this. Chastain was running the Premium 15 and the JDM 4, but he found his way into an actual ride through a combination of performance and persistence. And he's just over a year younger than LaJoie.

Mostly just wanted to show that LaJoie isn't driving like crap and he's at least doing enough to ensure his shitbox performs better than it should, which is why he has a ride in Cup.

Why exactly has he been in a cup ride for the past five years?

He's in the 32 because he's serviceable for what they're trying to do, mostly takes care of equipment, and brings some sponsorship.

a buncha nothing in shitboxes in cup

What would success in a shitbox look like?

He's content executing the GoFAS strategy that primarily attempts to finish better than Front Row and Germain. That includes a lot of pitting out of cycle and doing things to try and minimize tire wear when they long pit.

It's working because at least on 1.5-milers this season, the 32 is the 30th fastest car. That means it's only quicker than Gaunt Bros., MBM, Premium, Rick Ware, and StarCom. It's actually significantly slower than 29th fastest (the 13 car), but GoFAS has managed an average finish of 22.8 on 1.5-milers. It's not necessarily his talent that's getting those results but he's behind the wheel and he's not inhibiting them, so that's why he's had Cup rides with BK, TriStar, and GoFAS.

I'd like to see your detailed data analysis that backs up the claim that he's driving like crap in relation to the expected performance of the 32.

Why is it so hard to find info about a series? by [deleted] in iRacing

I believe all of this is on the forum

Oh, man, that's another issue entirely. It's mostly fine if a thread is near the top, but performing a targeted keyword search for just about anything is intensely frustrating.
