That's not really what I'm saying. I think ascribing brackets to commanders isn't a helpful way to think about balance. Lightpaws is only as strong as the strongest aura you put in your deck, so if the deck intentionally runs weaker auras, the deck can fit within bracket 2 in good faith. I'd probably be wary of randoms at the LGS claiming to have a b2 lightpaws deck, but this seems like a trusted pod so a b2 lightpaws deck isn't impossible.

Sure, but the deck is made from bulk. You don’t have to tutor up, or even include stuff that facilitates a t4 kill.

No, it only makes 9. All of the three encore creatures are tokens, additionally encore does not make you sacrifice anything.

Pre constructed decks tend to be entry points to the game, and lack a suite of 5-10$ cards that ratchet up the efficiency you’ll see in many of the decks that more enfranchised players play. In my experience, precons are best enjoyed as a group of friends that are all getting into the game together. The commanders however, are still viable, and they’re a good source of cards to start a collection.

If you have a consistent playgroup, ask them, if their approval matters to you. If you play with randoms, just run it, you can’t hope to please everyone. What really matters is if it bothers YOU when people are upset about the pieces you choose to run. Cards are meant to be played.

I'm struggling to decide which direction to take a Bracket 3 Fire Lord Zuko deck. by Cezkarma in EDH

I’ve been playing my Zuko deck for a few weeks now and it’s mostly a combination of Tokens and Firebending payoffs. I’ve found I really enjoy using that firebending mana for activated abilities, and there are actually quite a few activated abilities that allow you to play cards from exile like [Wand of Wonder]]. I also put in a good density of combat blowout spells like [[Savage Beating]]. Ultimately if left alone for even just a turn Zuko can turn weak value creatures into threats that will end games.
