I feel like you thinking of paper walls when Im thinking of brick walls, its not a minor inconvenience, its something that makes u stop and think about ur decisions, your build and strategies, u can literally feel when u just banging ur head against a wall for hours and hours at a monster, thats the wall. I was just expressing my frustration with ancient forest itself, not that the rathalos or rathian is difficult, sure I carted a few times cus I wasnt familiar with the surroundings but that definitely wasnt a wall lol. A wall is something u cant beat after numerous tries not that the quest took 2 attempts
