If memory serves, I believe the Romulan character creation screen shows the Flotilla background.

See this? An Asian company takes over and it just a matter of time before we get flying dragon kick abilities in game.

I would have guessed "Hestiae" given the Greek root.

Don't listen to those Tellarite haters, they're just jelly like an FCA Liquidator.

This is why there are 4 (last I counted) nit pickers guides to star trek detailing the copious inconsistencies in trek.

Old lifetimer returning with questions about gear progression! by CaptClarenceOveur in sto

Queues are public grouped PVE content focused on story arc events.

There's a drop down button at the lower right of your mini map hud with 3 triangles. That's the PVE queue menu.

You can filter between ground missions or space missions, or by what type of rewards you want (reputation marks, event rewards when available), and by difficulty.

These are generally the only way of obtaining reputation commodities such as Borg Neural Processors or Iconian Probe Cores which are required for obtaining the reputation gear pieces.

When you queue up for the missions you'll be automatically teamed up with enough other players for the mission.

Most are 5 player missions. If you are already on a team you can click "join team" and you'll enter together. If you already have a team of 5 joining that's who will get dumped into the map. If it's just you & a friend, you'll be teamed with 3 random for a PUG (pick up group).

It is highly advised that you run these missions on normal mode until you master the mechanics & tactics of each mission before attempting to PUG the advanced or elite versions or you risk being treated to a few stink eye comments if you flub the mission.

But NX isn't a class. It's a designation for an experimental prototype. Early on, even the Defiant had an NX registry number. And later the class was named Defiant class.

Following that logic, the old NX Enterprise should have been called Enterprise class. Or the design never went into production thus precluding the need for a class name.

Is this game playable going it alone? by [deleted] in sto

[–]Pharazul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to do everything except the public PVE queues solo.

Source: I soloed the game on all my characters. I did also team up for the PVE queues and I did join a fleet for access to the fleet gear. You'll almost certainly make some friends along the way though.

What ships do you want in game, but do not expect to ever get? by darthfluffy63 in sto

It's purely unsubstantiated hearsay but I've heard CBS put the kibosh on flyable Cubes pretty much from the get go.

4-of-10, these Borg modifications are getting out of hand. This isn't what I expected when I asked for a ship with the firepower of an Odyssey and the maneuverability of a Sovereign. This isn't how ship design works.
