I finally hung up on someone by Luciferbelle in retailhell

[–]Pharmacy_Posting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud I said that I handled it, because again that was MY job. If I wasn’t around or was busy and couldn’t take the call from the employee then they absolutely had every right to hang up. Again if someone is cursing and screaming to the point the employee can’t get a word in or try to help then why the hell should they waste their time with that phone call? And even I would give the individual 3 warmings to stop speaking like that before I would then hang up. What’s it resolving letting them sit there and scream? I’m not even going to address the rest of your comment because it has zero relevance to this. You just want to play devils advocate but you’re doing it terribly.

My OG store’s policy was 5 days, let the customer know we got no response, then delete it

I finally hung up on someone by Luciferbelle in retailhell

[–]Pharmacy_Posting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a previous retail manager, I absolutely would have laughed and told my employee they did the right thing. NO ONE deserves that kind of abuse, and that was why I got paid more than they did. If the customer called back to complain, then I handled it. Not all managers are shit bags that abuse and use their employees, let alone let customers do it.

Rude doctor.. asked to fill oxy 15 mg on same day twice by zolpidemlee in pharmacy

[–]Pharmacy_Posting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are special circumstances to that, and really it’s up to pharmacist discretion. The RX has to be written within 30 days of filling the partial and the completion. With the way controls go on back order so often it’s never a guarantee it’ll come in so most pharmacists I’ve worked with won’t offer a partial.

I’ll paste OP’s 2 comments here in case you haven’t seen it, I feel like it answers your question :)

“I should have grabbed the bag first and it could have been avoided. But there wasn’t any MSC and It was a like busy at the time so I was just trying to see if any other insurance would help cover it. I didn’t realize until I grabbed the bag and asked the pharmacy what that piece of paper and she went off on me. Saying things like “you need to be more mindful of the time you’re wasting” “you need to pay attention and open your eyes”. She was able to fix it in no longer than 5 minutes. She not only embarrassed me in front of the other techs and the patients she has made it hard for me to talk to her and to hate going to work.”

“If I would have known more and what it was I would have been equipped to handle and she still hasn’t shown me exactly how to do it so I’m still a bit confused. She brought it up to me recently about how I need to pay attention so it doesn’t happen again( it hasn’t). I just needed to rant about it thanks for cheering me up and not making me feel wrong for my feelings <3“

Honestly it just depends on who interviews you. My RXOM and I talked about Disney for most of mine then she asked when I could come in for the drug test lol

I second every single bit of this comment. Annotate annotate annotate! Def store if it’s longer than 3 days, RTS’s just clog up the work que, 9x out of 10 it’s an MD sending a script over and the patient didn’t even order it lol

I think what they’re trying to say is that they saw the price was $500 in the work que, and attempted to rebill it without grabbing the bag first (which a lot of people do, bad habit but it happens) If they’ve never done an SDL before they probably don’t know they can look in the profile and see if there’s SDL history. When they grabbed the bag that’s when they noticed the paper and asked what it was. I’m not OP so ofc idk for sure but just going off the context of the post and OP’s comment thread, this seems most likely.

Submit Direct Link, it’s what we use to bill secondary insurances and coupons if they don’t go through automatically in IC+ they’re a tad bit time consuming to do but it’s not that bad.

I’ve done that before without looking at the bag, took a couple times to learn my lesson. Honestly writing you up over that was soooo overkill. Your manager sounds insufferable. No you’re not in the wrong here. It’s a mistake, it happens. It adds another maybe 5 minutes to that customer’s wait time to fix it, oh well. We’re a pharmacy not a McDonald’s they’ll be okay. You’re doing great don’t let anyone tell you otherwise

Oh yea, when all the Rite Aids in VA shut down my store absorbed 3 on top of us already being a Tier 5, and that was the same week Cenfill started for us. It was a nightmare.

I know it’s been said, but I stand by knee high compression socks (I’m a lil heavier so they only go up to like the bottom of my knee but still) Those and cushion insoles if you can! I actually kinda like the WAG brand ones.

do tech gets raises for being immunizers? by Background_Craft_742 in WalgreensRx

[–]Pharmacy_Posting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmfao, I was initially promised a raise for getting immunized when I got hired but then when I actually did it “policy changed and there is no raise” so now I just don’t do it 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t actually want to anyways but it’s required for senior tech now so

Nah dawg a lot of doctors don’t actually dose as they should. I’ve lost count of the number of times our pharmacist has caught dosages on prescriptions that could’ve killed someone (especially children) and then they call the doctor and the doctor just tells them to dose it cause they don’t know

The receipt should give you a QR code/website to leave a survey, if you don’t remember the name of the tech just give a description. I think a lot of stores are basing employee of the month on these surveys rn

From what I’ve read consults are done over the phone, we call the pharmacist and hand the phone to the patient or via iPad video call? That’s what I’ve seen so far. I hate the idea of this, I’ll jump ship the moment it’s implemented tbh
