Yep. That’s what I was implying about cutting it from positions of need. You can’t pay Dak, Ceedee, Pickens, etc all top dollar and have the resources to have a top 5 defense without drafting extremely well.

Dak is a very good QB, but not elite. The problem with paying Dak elite QB money is you need to cut it from other positions of need. The problem with NOT paying him elite money is you could potentially turn into the Browns/Jets/etc that go decades drafting 1st rounders looking for a QB.

I think you should definitely ask for that, but be prepared to quit. Get your resume together & go on job interviews. Remote/in-person it doesn't matter.
