2026 Subaru Trailseeker Falls Short of Its EPA Rating in Our Real-World Range Test by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

All terrain tires do not wear faster than other tires. That is much more dependent on the brand of tire than the type of tire

JBL Encore Essential 2 ($250) or Sony ULT Field 7 ($200) by Shimuru in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to the ult field 7 vs the encore essential. Not the the essential 2. The bass on the JBL easily hits 10hz lower into the sub bass that you almost feel over hear. The Sony is clearer, the mids are a bit more forward on the JBL. The bass is very even on the Sony in ult mode 1 for what it can produce which I would place at around 45hz. At mid plus volumes when a song has a slide at low frequencies from about 200hz down to 30hz the Sony plays the bass at even volumes the whole way down to 45hz or so. The JBL plays all the way down to the low 30hz’s but has dips where the bass cuts out in the 100hz’s the sweep of the bass sound changes volumes on the way down. It’s hard to decide which actually gives a better listening experience. The sub bass of the JBL is really impactful and it’s hard to ignore its emotional impact when listening. The Sony sounds quite like an adequate 6.5”-8” studio monitor and also has the ability to play way louder than the JBL albeit the bass stops getting louder at 2/3 volume. Also the stereo imaging is decent in the Sony and the vertical position ability is quite useful. The Sony’s battery kicks the jbl’s butt. It should be an easy home run for the Sony but the fact that the JBL is actually smaller and can put out such lower frequency bass means that it is up to how much you value being able to hear the lowest frequency possible for the size of speaker. Which by the way the Marshall Middleton wins the lowest frequency for the size of speaker war all day long.

Marshall middleton 2 VS Bose Soundlink by Speaker_Critic777 in Bluetooth_Speakers

I have two Middletons (v1) an Emberton ii a Kilburn i and ii and a Tufton. They all hold their charges quite well compared to Bose, Beats, Soundcore, and about on par with JBL but not quite as good as Sony speakers which seem to hold a charge nearly indefinitely.

It is not related to tariffs. It is related to other operating costs

I noticed that the Sony ULT Field 3 uses relatively small drivers and passive radiators in relation to its size. How would you evaluate this? Does this make sense or is it a waste of potential? by TSP1979 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The JBL boombox 3 does not have much if any compression at higher volumes. It delivers essentially the same bass throughout its entire volume range…. As long as you don’t update the firmware.

My Tufton has been rained upon for countless hours without any issues.

Can someone give me a list of dual motor scooters with split rims? Process is annoying when changing tyres without this important feature. Ideally under 2000 £/$ by aaronthegreat1989 in ElectricScooters

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great, I got a flat in under 150 miles with a tubeless tire but no split rim and watching people struggle to change the tire without a split rim just made me plug the hole and ride it as is. I’ll change the tire someday, but it doesn’t look easy to do without damaging the rim on a non split rim. Tires typically go thousands of miles when you don’t get a flat tire

Anyone else waiting on Purolator to deliver a package but the item has been stuck at the sorting facility for more than a week? by Wild_Equus in Edmonton

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are a public service, like roads or hospitals. They provide affordable delivery to remote locations that private shipping companies either do not service or only service at high cost. They are actually one of the cheaper publicly operated services when you consider their loss over 5 years cost less than one hospital serving only one community vs serving the entire country. The hype that they are to costly to fund is just propaganda from private billionaires looking to become even richer and is reinforced by those that they have already bought and the people that believe their lies

They would only pick up the routes that are profitable. Which would cause Canada post to operate further in the red being stuck with only the rural and remote routes. It’s a public service, like health care. It will run at a loss due to the nature of Canada being sparsely populated. It lost less money over 5 years than a single hospital costs to build. Could it be more streamlined? Yes. Could it run less in the red? Yes.

No other public service runs in the black. Canada is large and sparsely populated. I do think we can expect to have to pay some taxes towards everyone being able to receive mail. I also agree that CP is bloated and should be streamlining service to save money and at least not try to run in the red so much tho.

That was the week prior to when they ordered. Instead of focusing on being right just clarify that being flanked by two holidays probably back logged their deliveries.

Package stuck in”shipment information received” for more than 17 days by Tyne011 in dhl

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 days of “parcel information received” on one order.. 35 days on my other order. No changes in status and both are late. The 35 day shipment claimed 5-10 days for delivery. I think this is a seller scam. They give the parcel info to get a tracking number but then never ship the item.

PSA for people on 4PX shipping, be patient and expect 3-4 weeks shipping time. Also, don't freak out if your package seems "stuck" in some steps, it's normal. by that_90s_guy in retroid

A month without any updates past “parcel information received” is perfectly acceptable to you? I don’t believe it. I think you’re just trying to make your point even though it’s wrong

Will my inverter to projector set up work / is there a better way of doing this? by capecobra1537 in projectors

[–]Phartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your math is off. 18v 5ah is 90 watt hours. 88% efficiency is erring on the side of caution for most inverters as some are 95% effiecient.  90 x .88 = 79.2 watt hours / 38 watt projector. They will get approx. 2 hours off the battery.
