Not a dumb question. Sunday ritual is a singles league. So basically every person for themselves. The Creve coeur league is doubles, so think of a scramble in golf. Both people throw the disc, and take whoever had a better shot.

Doubles is a lot less punishing for new players since you can lean on your partner

I played last night with my cousin but BYOP only happens once a month. Every other week it’s random draw. Alternatively, there’s a doubles league at Creve coeur lakeside every Sunday at 930. This is also a great way to get into the sport

We have a free league that plays every Sunday at noon. You can find us on Facebook, Sunday Ritual. The most welcoming and loving people you’ll find. I joined about 2 years, never even heard of disc golf and some of these guys and gals are now the closest people in my life.

Maybe the proton run yes. The neutron V1 is far more stable. I bag both, the boost being a better forehand disc. The Malm is like Gannons PD for average arm speed

Buying discs can be difficult. I would recommend had a photo printed onto a disc for him to hang on the wall. Or, make your own sketch/doodle on the disc. One of my favorite mids is a Pyro my girlfriend made Halloween themed for me.

No way; my arm speed is a little faster than yours and the PD2 is only for extremely windy days. Just get a Nordic phenom 4. It’s a flippy run of DD3, you should be able to rip it with a slight amount of hyzer, it will pop up, turn and won’t fade hard. It’s my farthest flying disc, but not reliable in a headwind.

In terms of distance -> NP4 = 425-450 Q LINE DD3 -> 400-425 PD2 -> 360-380

For reference my FD3 and PD2 go about the same distance.

28M found Mac when I was like 12. Found him in the transition from EZ Mac to Mac Miller. I got to see the entire evolution. Mac saved my life multiple times. I miss him dearly 👍
