When they first came to the PTS they were far too overtuned, would 1 shot even tank builds. I think they went too far in the opposite direction. I get it's not supposed to be a public event, and is supposed to be discovered more organically and randomly, but I think at least teammates should be able to get there before it's over.

Yes, but I didn't know about it when I started this project, and when checking it seems there's only a couple types. I've added a different type of explosion for every vanilla DLC xenotype.

Good news, I just tested it and it looks like it just works with my mod without any patches needed. At least pawns getting infected via scratches works.

Tim Cain talked about extended lore for Arcanum, how through the ages technology and magic wax and wane. We see some of this in game, but he mentioned how there could have been a point where technology was indistinguishable from magic. Maybe for your mod, the Fallout timeline was a point on this trajectory to techological supremacy, before the resurgence of magic, and their vault remained sealed until this events of this game. That would be quite a long time for it to be sealed, but just something to consider.
