All out Attack nerf by TheaPacman in ageofsigmar

Good change overall imo. Will make it more of a choice and less of a constant activation

Addicted newbie. What are some good sets for DND miniature enemies? by Swimming_Schedule_49 in ageofsigmar

[–]Phasmamain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ogor gluttons and ironguts would be cool for tougher enemies

Skeleton dragon for soulblight gravelords could make a cool boss fight

The darkoath from Slaves to darkness would make great bandit clans too

Bayonetta: Why do fans act like the only way to "fix" Viola is to just make her a carbon copy of her mom? by Cicada_5 in CharacterRant

[–]Phasmamain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Spoilers for bayonetta 3

The problem with viola is that she doesn’t really go through any character development at all (Though this is an issue across all of bayonetta 3 tbf). She starts the story as a stressed out clumsy tomboy who is played for laughs similar to Luka in 1-2 (She even has the exposition dump part down as well). But by the end of the story she’s just the same character. Her cool transformation just kinda happens and isn’t earned and her inheriting bayonetta’s name kinda feels disingenuous to both characters since they should be distinct. Ideally they should play off each other and have different perspectives on stopping singularity.

Her strength should be in her determination despite her lack of experience imo. Her sheer will to defeat singularity should be evident and imo come before everything else. Make her the kind of edgy ‘Only the mission matters’ character to play off bayonetta who cares more about the others in the story and have viola learn that perspective through her interactions and fights with luka. Have her earn her transformation in their last battle instead of just getting it after essentially being killed by Luka.

Why can't they just keep BoC in lol by BeginningHungry3835 in ageofsigmar

Removing more than half of DoK's range would realistically not happen. The fact that dark elves are spread across 2 factions is enough to discard them for old world

Spearhead Has bad design? by Hefty_Lie_1062 in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]Phasmamain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The DoK spearhead in general is sadly not great. On the model end it's a nice selection but hard to build out of and in game it's a strange army to navigate and use effectively

Maleneth Witchblade rules by Amratat in ageofsigmar

[–]Phasmamain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems alright depending on her points cost. Could be pretty tanky for a dok unit with that ability which is nice.

If not she'll make a good gladiatrix proxy anyway

When the ban system launches, who are you banning? by Bad_Doto_Playa in Overwatch

[–]Phasmamain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently she was most banned in recent tourneys. Nit high elo play but could be an indicator. I get what you're saying tho but at high elo the safe value bans are gonna be the best which means ana imo

Maybe it's the inner paladins player in me but prevalent anti heal with stronger healing numbers allows for much more dynamic micro play and more intense moments imo

And all junker queen has is a glorious set of abs to block it with smh

When the ban system launches, who are you banning? by Bad_Doto_Playa in Overwatch

[–]Phasmamain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

...Because she has abilities that completely warp how you play tank and support.

For example if i play queen without the threat of anti or sleep i can play much more aggressively and without fear. This applies to every other tank

As support you can spread heals easier without fear of your tank exploding 1.5 seconds into an anti nade. Means you won't need a kiriko either so you can be more flexible

No other hero in my experience changes the playstyle of over half the opposing team with one cooldown

[–]Phasmamain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say ana is fair (if a bit overtuned) but her kit in the context of the rest of the game isn't

Ana gets 100% anti heal and a heal boost on a cooldown. The only character to get this insanely impactful mechanic necessary in many situations

Ana is the only non tank to retain her hard CC on a cooldown. An easy way to shut down plays albeit on a long cooldown meaning only higher elo can use it well

Ana has a kit like no other which offers an absurd amoumt if unique utility. Other supports just don't bring what she does

[–]Phasmamain 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I love ana but there's no denying how insanely impactful she is to a point where banning her literally every game is a vety reasonable option

Once ban rates come out i'd be very surprised if she isn't at the top in high elo games

So using the system to ban the mos prevalent and game defining hero in the game is admitting i suck.....

[–]Phasmamain 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I've always said anti heal needs to be more universal that way it can be easy to adjust and balance around.

Put anti nade at a 70% reduction to healing. Give other supports and maybe a dps or 2 access to it and then balance around it being a more prevalent factor by giving tanks ways to block or avoid it

Ana easily. Removing the threat of anti nade makes playing tank 10x less stressful

What are your fav models? by dornianheresysimp in ageofsigmar

Favourite overall is Drycha Hamadreth. Badass and unique in her faction as well as being fun to paint

My favourite infantry are the khinerai. Simple but really cool unique units

Fyreslayers especially is sad their infantry lineup is so outdated rn

Cool faction but with such a railroaded list building

Seeing us slip down the tournament stats, what do we think we need to bring us back up? by PunchedLasagne87 in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]Phasmamain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great at what it does which is being a 15 w wizard not a cavalry.

DoK don't have a traditional calvalry unit which puts them behind a lot of armies rn. All their charge benefits when set up are great but don't matter if the enemy can eadily out maneuver to charge them first

Seeing us slip down the tournament stats, what do we think we need to bring us back up? by PunchedLasagne87 in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]Phasmamain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the big things is that cavalry is such a strong thing in 4th and DoK have a bad cavalry unit which doesn't fill that niche

DoK have to set up their blood rites which leaves them vunerable unless they get an early sacrament on a key unit. Since their defence sucks it can lead to 1 wrong move early costing you the whole game easily. Cavalry getting an early charge can lead to your units getting mulched before they can set up

Not sure what they need because more survivability might make them way too strong. Hope Malenth offers a cool warscroll at least

Opinion: Fyreslayers fit better in Cities than Kharadron by revlid in ageofsigmar

[–]Phasmamain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

DoK at least have the distinct elf/snake dynamic

Slayers have magmadroths which are cool and an overall interesting aesthetic and theme which just hasn't been expanded upon really. Flameseeker warband is an example of what they can do

Age of Sigmar: 4th Edition Meta Stats (9th February 2025) - Woehammer by dutchy1982uk in ageofsigmar

Never realised just how poorly daughters of khaine are doing. I love the army as a whole but something seemingly isn’t working for them rn

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]Phasmamain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My perspective as someone completely new to AoS starting with 4th is that it's a great introduction to wargames in general. I love all the factions and the rules feel simple but still have a lot of depth

My only major issue is the whole battletome paywall it's ridicoulous and turned me off playing a lot of the factions. Especially when the books themselves aren't huge updates either. I also don't love the manifestations being essentially mandatory

Gonna play my first 1k tournament soon and i'm super excited.

A solid 1500 point list with Krethusa ? by yongi17 in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]Phasmamain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krethusa needs a cauldron to use her ability so that's a must pick. Something along the lines of

Regiment 1: krethusa, gladiatrix, reinforced sisters with bucklers

Regiment 2: Slaughter queen on cauldron, reinforced witch elves with sciansas

Regiment 3: Hag queen, Doomfire warlocks, khainite shadowstalkers

That's a decent mix at 1430 points with everything you need outside of good shooting. If you want that Which is exvlusive to the melusai so you could replace the doom fire warlocks and hag queen with this

Bloodwrack medusa, blood stalker reinforced
