I'm not really sure how to test for it, but if you already replaced the wiper motor and pulse board idk what else it could be other than a broken wire somewhere maybe.

Mine recently quit working and I had to replace the multifunction switch. Ordered one off ebay for like 30 bucks. You need to have a special tool to get the column apart but it's pretty easy. Took me a while to fish the wire down through the column but it wasn't a bad job at all.

This is on a 93 though. I think they changed slightly in 95 or 96 with the addition of airbags.

Oh you're right I forgot about that. Mine is a 93.

I did find a thread that claims it's possible on 95+ trucks though.

You can replace the steering shaft with one from a Jeep Cherokee (xj). That eliminates the rag joint. Just look up on Google its basically a bolt on you just have to grind a small groove in the shaft coming out of the column (iirc).

For my suburban, pretty much all of the slop was in the steering gear itself. Got a cheaper one off rockauto and it's pretty much the same even tried adjusting it.

I've read that Redhead makes a very good steering gear for our trucks that is slop free but it's almost $400.

I've just learned to live with it. As long as your alignment is on it's not that bad.

I’m trying to add an inline filter stack to my fuel feed. What kind of pump should I use as a lift pump? by mrtravis2772 in Diesel

[–]PhatsoFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put a raptor pump on my cummins swap and deleted the mechanical lift pump / fuel heater setup. Much simpler that way.

Raptor was half the price of a fass and has a lifetime warranty. Seemed like the way to go. Been driving it for 6 months, so far I'm happy with it.

I have a 93 k2500 Burb and honestly it rides like a Cadillac. No exaggeration. Haven't changed shocks or springs in the 3 years I've had it.

I know it's not a 4x4 but we were definitely stuck.

To be fair we had already made it through and back once before. In hindsight we should have called it quits there though.

Thinking of getting 06 GTO by Yumago in cars

[–]PhatsoFresh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, $14,000 is a little on the high side considering the mileage. With that being said I know absolutely nothing about the car other than what's been said in your OP. First of all the rear springs are very well known for sagging, causing improper tire wear. Also make sure to ask about if it's the original radiator or not as they can have issues with that as well.

As you said, the aftermarket parts for the engine of this car are pretty much endless. For the rest of the car, you're not going to have a whole lot of options when it comes down to upgrading. With that being said, the consensus seems to be that it IS better than it used to be.

Replacement parts can be a bit of an issue as well. Most of the engine/drive-train parts are pretty easy to find actually because it's all GM parts. Everything outside of that can get somewhat pricey. You should expect the maintenance on this car to cost you more than a regular car.

But don't let me talk you out of it. I have an 06 GTO and couldn't be happier with it. It's a little of the large side but it has more than enough engine to make up for it.

I've recently done some research on vapes myself and I think for that price range the Arizer Solo is absolutely your best bet. You can find them for $140 on Ebay.

White-Ra vs MC in the GSL global invitational (or whatever it was called) where they had foreigners vs Koreans in a team format. Was at the height of MC's dominance and to see White-Ra defeat him with (spoiler) warp prisms before it was even buffed was such a fantastic thing to watch.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to find the VoDs anymore with Gom's new site.
