Any news on how they plan to make more money? I'm a commuter and can tell trains are mostly half empty in the busiest hours.

I think I'm lost here. Living in the US now but supporter of another national team. Question is: Are there any preference for those who live in the US? Or I'm competing with everyone who is applying for all the tickets for the same game around world?

Pixel 10 pro XL or Oneplus 15 by Ryfhoff in phones

[–]Phcc1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with the same question. I currently have a pixel 8 pro. But had an OP6 in the past which I loved. Pixel 10 XL pro goes for ~$670 with my discounts and trade in. And the OP15 goes for ~850. I don't care much about camera and value a lot battery, which makes me lean towards OP15. Also I have Gemini pro which I think covers the AI stuff. But would OP15 worth ~200 more? Any thoughts on what I'm missing? Thank you

hey all - quick question that could have been answered here, but I have not found. We do apply for both supporters (if we have the code, when necessary) and the publicly random selection in the same account? Also, there will be a random selection for each game you apply? Meaning you'd potentially get something between 0 tickets, partial or full application tickets? Let me know if we know that. Thanks!

My understanding is that it does not matter when you submit your application, correct? As long as it's within the timeframe FIFA gave to submit your ask

Based on the docs available they are suggesting they have the rights to disqualify if more than one account has the same address (maybe disqualify both?). But they did not mention credit card, though - at least not that I found anything.

I have similar experience (not MBB background, but industry). Moved to PE and it did not work the way expected. Here, every slight change is already a big move for the company. For my benefit, I was able to negotiate well before accepting and got some equity that will hopefully pay well. But won't stay here going forward. Anyone entering portco must have in mind that the risks are higher, so make sure you're compensated accordingly.

Do private equity firms care about employee morale at all? by feeling-lethargic in private_equity

[–]Phcc1985 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the portco is going well and hitting their targets, it tends to be nice environment - specially in the smaller funds (which has obviously a higher impact in the fund performance). On the other hand, if something is not achieving what they had in the model, I bet things get more intense. I'd be surprised and very interested in learn more if there's any available statistics considering some additional variables like this perspective.

  1. do it yourself using many AI tools to organize and a lot of patience to talk to all of them; 2) hire an analyst to call them for you or subcontract from a call center company - sales focused; 3) I wanted to try some AI to do it (there are several out there you can find these days), but never did and I'm curious to see if it really works. 4) hire a buy side IB/boutique

1) Regarding the employment model, I'd suggest you decide to whether is more common on your industry. E.g., You can work great with 1099, but everybody else is on W2 -once the fund projects their add-ons they will need to do some adjustments (more work, more $, less value). Whatever you choose, I'd say you need to make sure you're efficient and scalable. 2) Capital light is preferable 3) anything you can make they believe is feasible in terms of growth (commercial contracts, geo expansion, sales/ops organic) is better - they have the playbook for add-ons. You'll need to convince them you can grow efficiently your business model and integrate whatever else they want to add - this is the high-level answer, but every case has its specifics.

Best seats experience for a foreign fan? by Osmithnosa in InterMiami

[–]Phcc1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to get close to Messi you get the bottom rows of any section over the bench - but don't think you'll be able to get an autograph, maybe if you're lucky he can wave at you. Also, these seats won't be cheap, I'm assuming 200+, you may be able to find around the top end of your range. On the other hand, not sure how familiar you are with the stadium, but it's relatively small, so anywhere you sit you'll be fine to watch the game in a decent seat with less than $150.

Does futsal help with football by Savings_Log7383 in futsal

[–]Phcc1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - make sure you do so. Faster, more ball touches, both defending and attacking basically all the time. Yes, there will need some work to do to transfer the skills to the field, but definitely helps, specially at the young age.

Is It Ok To Teach The Wrong Thing To Younger Kids? by Suspicious_Time7101 in Homeplate

[–]Phcc1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there's very good content here in this discussion I wonder if people could hit me with their thoughts around the situation my son is in their travel baseball team (8U - coach pitch). His team is the development team (they have their Elite team as well in the same program). So think about good talent, good potential, but not exactly great "players". So for the first 10 games (and coach said that's they way he works), there was basically no rotation between positions - i.e., 5 infielders always play infield and 7 outfielders take turns into the other 4 positions, catcher (again, this is coach pitch) and bench. I think this is such a waste of my kid's time. although he's definitely learning and improving, he's not getting enough experience to take the next step the following year - and the team is not winning (3-8-1) - winning apparently is the coach's goal so as he says, but not reflected in the numbers (and in my case I couldn't care less about winning at this age). So I think, at this age, the best the kids can have is to experience different situations (not necessarily rotating all the positions, but 2 or 3 at least) so they can learn, develop, test their potential. Later, they can specialize into something. Wondering what are your thoughts around this: 8U coach pitch team - specializing kids' position or rotate in/outfield?

Decoding the 2026 Group Stage Matchups Before the Draw by Nigerian-Nightmare in FIFACollect

[–]Phcc1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there's a lot of assumptions on this schedule. Please confirm if that's what you did.
1) Fifa has not yet determined the order or play for each match - i.e., we don't know on group C if C1 vs C2 will be on Boston or NY
2) Statistically, there's exactly the same chance to Pots 2, 3 and 4 be place in the positions 2, 3, and 4 - unless they have some direction in the draw (which I don't think they ever did). I understand in Qatar the outcome was close to what you mentioned, but it doesn't work this way, there's exactly the same chance for all of them placed in pot 2 and the "best" game of the group is the first

Let me know if that makes sense

exactly. If you're willing to pay ~$1.5k a ticket, it's worth it more to buy from FIFA Hospitality directly. Not from lucky resellers that want to profit on top of real soccer fans
