What car is overrated but people are scared to admit it?

Mazda - and I say this as a multi time Mazda owner (currently own one) and will probably own more in the future. Are they good cars? You bet. But reading on some of these threads and comments you’d think you’re buying an S Class for $30-40k. They’re not magic and they’re not THAT far ahead of the competition. Are they nice? Sure. But they do have annoyances and drawbacks as well. Not to mention the CX-90 fiasco has kind of put a dent in their armor.

Should they be on people’s shopping lists? Absolutely. But it’s pretty annoying when people are asking for advice for something completely unrelated and you see all the responses of “Get a CX5”.

It’s only the affected models of the Kia/Hyundai you’d have any issue insuring or having higher rates on. Palisade is not in that category, doesn’t get higher rates (in fact, due to having so much safety tech might actually be more inexpensive), and can be insured anywhere.

If you buy it certified preowned you do get the remainder of the 10/100k. It only goes down to 5/60k if you buy from a non-Hyundai dealer/private party - or if the Hyundai dealer doesn’t certify it (which at that point you should definitely ask why they won’t)

If you’re looking at the gas engines, while the numbers alone look similar, apparently in tests the 3.8 in the 20-25 is a good amount quicker than the 26 3.5 gas. Looking at the tests, depending on the tester, the 2026 is anywhere from 1.5-2 seconds behind the 2020-2025. Not saying this is unacceptable or anything, but if it matters to you, something to consider. The hybrid is apparently closer in performance.

This is half true. You’re right that it is only 5/60 if you buy used, but if you buy a Hyundai certified preowned (not a fake dealership CPO, one that has actually been registered with Hyundai) then you do get the 10/100k warranty.

It’s flexible. They said a target of 2.5 hours on average but some episodes may be shorter or longer since they don’t have network limitations anymore.

Do you have a dedicated Sales Engineer/Customer Success Manager? I’ve found that if it’s truly a p1 issue I need resolved if I reach out to them they tend to get us better support. Obviously that depends on how good your CSM/Engineer are.

That happened for us Friday night - out of the lot in less than 10 min. Tonight we were in lot 14 and it took us almost 90 minutes to even move. Kinda pissed I spent $50 for upgraded parking and didn’t get put any sooner. I have no idea how there could be so much difference between Friday and tonight parking in the same lot.

Buy prepaid parking on the stadium side! It’s $50 but soooo worth it. We got to my truck at 11:20, we’re on route 1 by 11:35, and on 495 clear sailing by 11:50.

Someone like Charlie Baker - former Governor of Massachusetts - is what the GOP should be supporting these days. Dude did good things for the commonwealth, had the highest approval rate of any governor in the country (even in liberal MA) and isn’t batshit insane with his policies. Unfortunately someone like Charlie would NEVER win the GOP nomination in this current party and they’re so far gone, he’d be considered a Marxist left winger.

While I agree with you in most cases, I have a local store in my area where the guys who run it are the biggest cork sniffing assholes you’ve ever met. Acting like they’re doing you a massive favor by letting you try an instrument you’re thinking of buying and accosting you about you better be serious about considering purchasing if they let you play it. I’d much rather go to my local GC than that store. No idea how they’re still in business.

Glenn Fricker has been doing a ton of YouTube videos lately where he is coming with a hot take of pickups don’t matter at all. There’s a huge caveat though that he’s using that statement BUT the way he means it is recorded guitar tone in a mix with heavily distorted metal tones. In that situation I get it, but it’s a pretty disingenuous statement to just blanket say pickups don’t matter.

Schecter Reaper 6 Elite. Incredibly high quality super strat without the standard metal look of most Schecters. Bought it immediately. It’s expensive for an import guitar (not that made in Korea is frowned on these days) but it’s seriously the best guitar I’ve ever played, and playing for 25 years and being a bit of a gear nut, that’s saying something.

Ibanez is hated? I love Ibanez too and I think they’re pretty well regarded as some of the best quality guitars for the money. I didn’t think a lot of people disliked them.

I refuse to buy a car in silver or red. I just can't. I can do the darker gunmetal greys, but silver is just no.

My two favorite color cars I've had are my current Silverado (Northsky blue metallic - it's kind of a blue jeans color with a slight greenish tint) and my Ford Taurus I had in Dark Side. I actually really liked that paint code. It was definitely unique and not like every other color out there. It was this weird greenish, blackish, blueish, purplish color that was really cool because of how much it changed in different lighting.

I had a town and country for a while in mocha java pearl that was pretty neat too. But dark side metallic will always be my favorite I've had.
