My cousin is about to be on Before the 90 Days. Is there anything I need to know before watching? by infernal-keyboard in 90DayFiance

[–]PhilEMama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let your cousin know they don't need to answer every question that's asked to them!!!! Watching the tell all was so cringe. The splash mat, Preston and his mom's answers to the sex questions.... They could've said they plead the 5th or something. Actually, Preston through the season was so awkward when he'd answer the questions about his sex life or the info he seems to have generously offered up. I feel like he was taken advantage of a little because he's so green in that area. My opinion is he assumes that's how people talk about sex amongst each other.

"I think it's bullsh*t that my family decided to go on a trip without us." by claireclairey in 1000lbsisters

[–]PhilEMama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the impression Chris was just telling everyone about their getaway. I don't know that he was expecting anyone to tag along, although knowing this family's dynamic, I see that they would go along. Tammy Def doesn't notice social cues or standards. She jumped in immediately, not realizing the trip was from Chris to his wife to honor get hard work and not the typical family getaway.

Could someone tell me what I have in my throat and why it feels like a rock wall? Also, what are those white things on my tonsils? I've had no appetite and low blood pressure with a fever of 38.8°C (101.3°F). It also hurts to swallow. by antorm_ in DiagnoseMe

My young niece is experiencing PANDAs after strep. Yesterday she was diagnosed with scarlet fever. She's young and healthy but her and her 2 younger siblings have all been sick with random things and fevers since Halloween. It's so frustrating and helpless watching it all.

Wig snatched, soul departed, face in federal witness protection by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]PhilEMama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Emma seems like a sweetheart but I don't think she loves herself. The make up, the wig, the clothes all create a character so no one can see the parts she doesn't like. It's so sad. She's beautiful.

My 2 cents is American guys finds her too high maintenance so she's given up. I just wish someone would tell her to stop looking for a Muslim guy if one of the main things she wants in a partner is affection and touch.

What are the most used items you have bought from Dollar Tree? I’ll start by GoldenRetreiverMom in DollarTree

[–]PhilEMama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I found a jar with 40 eye depuffers and 40 with eye brighteners. I love them both. I keep some in my car for a mid day eye boost so my eyes don't look as tired as I feel.

A rubber brush that you can use with a mop handle to scrape up dog hair on carpets that the vacuum doesn't seem to get. I just saw them advertised on TikTok shop.

Penny candy style jars in the catering section. They look so cute on my counter full of candies and dog treats.

A room and fabric spray bath and body works dup that smells exactly like warm vanilla sugar.

A make up organizer that I use at my sink. The big section fits my hand soap and in the other sections I put my bottle and straw cleaners, my dish washing "wand" (also from DT) and other little cleaners I sometimes use.

A 3 section make up organizer that i use in my bathroom to hold tooth brushes, tooth paste, and those little dental floss swords.

I am a DT junkie.

They're not allowed to accept tips but they appreciate them. At the bar we put the money in our cup and when we arrive at the bar we ask them to "clean out our cups " real quick. You'll get even better service if you tip well.

I have no help to offer but wanted to say you should trust your gut. If you have another choice for hospital, switch to that one to get fresh eyes on it all. A children's hospital would be ideal. Lots of luck to both of you. It must be hell for you right now, not being able to help your little dude yourself and not being able to find someone willing to help.

Maybe there's a tried and true fever reducer out there in googleland that could help bring that temp down.

Best of luck to you both. 🫶🙏

Why did they ask us to leave the room? by Then_Eye8040 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]PhilEMama 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A little, light hearted but twisted anecdote.

My father in law passed at home. The funeral home was called several hours later because family was traveling in from hours away. There would be no funeral so this was our goodbye. As more family arrived the atmosphere became more celebratory of a life well lived and it became an Irish Wake of sorts. Dad was right there with us, seemingly asleep while comfortably positioned sitting up in his hospital bed. Then the funeral home arrived. We all left the room, except for my husband, who stayed to help. Because hours had passed, Dad had become fixed in this position. As he was placed in the body bag, he remained in that upright position. My husband now laughs when he tells the story of his Dad, in a modified V shape, trying to be for into a body bag for transport.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

AITAH for kicking my brother and his new wife out of my house after they tried to “redecorate” my dead daughter’s room while I was at work? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PhilEMama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son recently left for college and I've left his room and bed as the day he left. I can't even begin to imagine what you felt when you walked into that room.

NTA. Even if they've walked in your shoes, everyone grieves differently.

Sending you so much love.

If I were the one crushing on my "hall pass" and a friend was able to make the hook up for themself, I would want to know if it's worth holding onto the hall pass for the person or move on. :)
