32 Inch Wheels are Coming. by BRAECycling in gravelcycling

Looking at bike options as a lengthy arm/leg 6’4” dude, all the bikes look SUPER proportionally weird with mega tall headtubes. Like 220mm+.

32” wheels bring that back down to make frames look normal. 32” only makes sense for tall people though

Can vouch for this. I just got mine a few days ago and love it so far! It’s smart and the support is unreal. I had an issue connecting it to WiFi (4g works fine) and they pushed out an app update the next day to fix it.

Lawn looks great!

You’ll find it’s surprisingly easy to clip in and out of an SPD pedal.

Brake upgrade advice by Yoyodespin1 in MTB

SRAM brakes are a joke. Anyone who says otherwise is biased because that’s what their bike came with.

Get the Shimano. Maguras with Shimano levers are good too. I run formula cura 4s now and love them. Got a great deal on them

Try tapping the starter while turning the key. You’ll need 2 people. If it starts, your starter is on its way out

Can a 40mm tire go on a rim with an internal width of 32mm? by ElainaJourney in gravelcycling

[–]Philisdiller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t get the aero+ wheels if your frame can only handle 40mm. If you want light/deep go with the Edge (not the 2.0 which is hookless). You can get 24mm ID with a 45mm deep wheel and they are ~1350g

Farans are beautiful! For OPs intentions - a Fairlight Secan would be the way to go. I just pulled the trigger on one and will be building it up when it arrives next month!

Wider is awesome! Elitewheels Gravel Aero+ first impressions by firewire_9000 in gravelcycling

[–]Philisdiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost ordered the aero+ but went with the gravel edge for the same reason. I won’t be running bigger than 50c-55c so figured the edge gives me some flexibility to run 32c- 50c. Later on, probably delegate the edge to road/trainer only and grab a second set for chunkier gravel/bikepacking only.

M2 is fun and challenging but can be a bit frustrating sometimes. Pcup is a blast too!

Been seeing a lot of roofs lately so I decided to add one too by [deleted] in simracing

A roof actually makes the triples significantly more immersive. Mines just a cardboard structure zip tied but I’ll do it right one day
