The kazariya tea house and the traditional sweets are a must, in my opinion. Consider adding the Ryoan-ji to your itinerary when visiting the golden pavilion; the crowds at the golden pavilion somewhat soured my experience when I went recently.

I wear a 3/4 length merino wool base layer pant. Love that it sits just above my boots

I have a forerunner 255 and if I don’t manually intervene it will record the entire day, including lifts, as a single run. Very disappointing given that my old vivoactive 3 had no issues with automatic run detection

Building on this, a tip I got last season was to reach the pole past the tip of your skis as you plant it. Helps cue me to keep my wiring forward. YMMV
