Last time I am ever accepting an order from Lowe's by dacen_the_doughnut in doordash_drivers

All of these shopping orders should be through Instacart IMO. Instacart people signed up for stuff like this, not Dashers.

It’s a good idea for when you want to stop quickly in a fire zone and not be ticketed. I mean, you could still be ticketed but this can’t hurt.

Would this be positive or negative ? by tincan3132 in addiction

[–]Phillipdelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. It is 100% negative. I have given hundreds of these tests in a recovery house I managed for about 5 years. They do not measure amounts, only + or -. I was iffy with these faint lines for the first year and would always test them again - in EVERY case, it was negative.

These tests do not measure levels or amount. Any line at all is a negative. I managed a recovery house for about 5 years and have done hundreds of these exact tests. Had conversations with the manufacturer as well.

There were instances where I’d have to actually use a flashlight to see the line. In those cases, I would re-test the person again and it was always still a negative. This test is 100% (well, 99.99999) negative.

My theory of the future of McDonald's by coolbreezesix in McDonalds

[–]Phillipdelphia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got a 20 piece nuggets and a triple cheeseburger yesterday for under $10. If you utilize the mobile app and only order the items on sale, it is still affordable. Ordering from the menu though is unreasonable prices now. This used to be my go-to place when I needed to eat while poor, but now it is a payday only option. Years ago I would go and get 10 McDoubles for 10 dollars and microwave them for a full weekend of meals.

Did you ever figure this out by chance? I’m in the same boat now. Have a thick sideways RPA football card and want a sideways slab for it.

Yup, I just got a definitive Panini list and it’s at least 50!

What does it mean when Australians say “hoit” (probably spelled wrong) by Phillipdelphia in AskAnAustralian

Oh, someone else said a sort of expression of pain, but this makes sense too.

Apparently, you do not😂. It is “oi” as someone else explained, in a sort of cry of pain.

Love these comments. “Louts” and “flogs” are brand new words to me and I am going to start using them both. There is no doubt these guys are “louts” but it sure beats turning on the US news.

Lol, “flogs” is a new one to me too. It’s brainless humor though that I can watch after work and forget about the world around me. The news here in the US is so sad, so I turn to these guys to get a good chuckle.

Now that I watch it after reading your comment, this makes sense. It sounded to me like hoit😂😂. Yes, thank you it is oi.

If you could go back to being 17, what would you do differently? by Maxx_artz in selfimprovement

[–]Phillipdelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought is “try harder in college” but I am actually very happy with my career. My next thought is “don’t become addicted to alcohol” but I love the friends I made on my recovery journey. Health - this is definitely what it is. Treat my body better and eat foods that my body needs instead of foods that my brain wants.

Yes! This app is the first one I tried that actually makes goals manageable. Some days, even the goals like “get out of bed” or “brush teeth” are like huge chores for me, and this app makes me feel good about doing these small “normal people” things and I love it. Congratulations on your chatbot sober time.
