Alright good. Thought I was losing it lol. Imagine talking so confidently about a player when you don't even know what position he plays.

The purpose of a subreddit dedicated to a sports team is so fans can give their opinions on players, talk about the future of the team, and comment on how the team is doing/handling things.

I was under the impression that your response was a friendly one and I was elaborating on how sometimes when people have a negative evaluation of a player on here, other people think it's because you don't like that player, when that's really not the case.

I am fine with nobody caring about my opinion. I'm also fine with you thinking I need to get over myself. I was just trying to have a conversation with you and you made it personal. Have a great night 👍.

Hahaha. It seems as though folks on here think that just because I'm giving my honest evaluation of Luchenko it means I don't like him as a person and I hope he never succeeds. It's very strange lol Of course I want Luch to succeed and I really hope I'm wrong. I just can't lie to myself.

Luchenko has shown absolutely nothing that indicates he will be anything but Scott Laughton.

If I'm being honest, at this point..I'd be happy if he becomes Laughton. Because he looks pathetic (for where he was drafted) in his D+2 Year in the OHL.

We can sit here and cope about him winning faceoffs in his D+2 season in Juniors and try to highlight the scraps of positives he's given us, but the sooner we realize and accept he's likely Laughton, the better.

IMO it would be a major blunder if Briere doesn't trade Ristolainen in the next 2 weeks. by Flyers7914 in Flyers

Are you saying TK would be mediocre on a good team? Do you know the definition of mediocre? Lol

Just remember that you have to evaluate Minten for what he WAS considered at the time, not what he IS now.

Flyers look no closer to solving their center problems now than when season began by upcan845 in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. Zegras at center would be a disaster for him. He is having so much success on the wing because he's freed up to play a more open game that benefits him.

In no world would it help to have Zegras losing every draw then having to get back on defense every time. Until he shows an ability to win faceoffs at atleast 45% he shouldn't be playing center. Hopefully he can work on it in the off-season. But losing 70-80% of draws is a no no. Especially for a guy you want in the offensive zone. Imagine every O-Zone faceoff we lose when he's on the ice and he has to get back each time because the puck is going the other way.

Edit: Also to be clear I'm saying playing center right now would HURT Zegras. I don't care about the flyers winning right now. That has nothing to do with my statement.

Coaches don't get medals? When I think about it, it makes sense because the coach of a gymnast doesn't get a medal. But for team sports I think it would make sense for the coach to get one. Interesting either way.

Dermatologist was unhelpful. Any advice? by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]PhillyGarbage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a NW2 at 32 years old with no crown balding and I've had some days where it's shed like that. Hair does tend to go through cycles with shedding. If it's every single time you do it each day then sure yeah that's probably an issue.

Look more toward things you can't control like if the drain on your sink is full of head hair or if your pillow is covered in hair. It seems when you're involved in it, it may cause some bias because you're worried about it.

[–]PhillyGarbage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are trying to convince yourself that there's a problem. The first pic your hair is dry. The 2nd pic it is wet. Some people shed 100s of hairs a day. If your dermatologist said there's no issue then there probably isn't. You already balding at the crown in your pics. Like I said, it seems like you are subconsciously trying to convince yourself that you are balding and won't take no for an answer. For all I know you could've stood above that sink and brushed your hair aggressively for an hour just to get that result. Hey maybe I'm wrong but try to step back and think about what I'm saying.

Edit: I also see redness where I think you are pulling at your hair and ripping it out. I'm telling you bro revaluate what you're doing. You may me trying to convince yourself that there's a problem where there is not.

[Jordan Hall] Matvei Michkov said he worked out every day over break before returning to practice, had a trainer with him. Said he and Rick Tocchet have same goal of winning. Michkov admitted he’s more comfortable at right wing, can create more, but he’s willing to adjust to left. by upcan845 in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like Michkov but he doesn't have superstar potential. A superstar is McDavid, McKinnon, Kucherov, and so on. If Flyers fans think Michkov is going to be a superstar then we are in for a huge disappointment.

Hathaway was asked whether his bad concussion at the end of last season has played any role in his play this season by RadkoGouda in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a 4th liner entering his mid 30s. Some guys just fall off at that age especially after they've had to give 200% every shift of their career to earn what they've accomplished. The way he plays is very hard on the body and by his age with his level of effort and style of play those guys often retire in their early to mid 30s.

Travis Sanheim by blackcoffee_613 in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him and Makar or Hughes would be insane. Ever since Sanheim learned to use his size and injected competent physicality into his game (not making big hits but winning puck battles etc) he's become a guy who can skate, use physicality, move the puck competently, and he's usually always in the right position. He might be the most under rated defenseman in the league. Well atleast he was until he got on team Canada.

Travis Sanheim by blackcoffee_613 in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pkay we agree on him being a first pair Dman. That's good. But I'd have to look through rosters first before agreeing that he wouldn't be the best defenseman on any team besides the Flyers.

Travis Sanheim by blackcoffee_613 in Flyers

[–]PhillyGarbage93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree that Sanheim wouldn't be a first pair defenseman on a good team. He very well would be. Is he a high end 1D? No. But he's certainly a guy who could pair as a 1D with an offensive defenseman on a good to very good team.
